“Not for Families”

I took my son to a hockey camp and booked a hotel room so my daughter would have something to do while he was playing hockey.However, this hotel did not have a pool or a parking lot, no fridge, and no microwave. This was a terrible pick for my family.

Great location. We were able to walk to The rencen, Ford Field and Greek Town. The room was roomy and comfortable. We had a great time.

“Great for a family or business trip”

The layout of the room was very nice, with an upper living room area and a lower level bedroom. The bathroom was very large and the decorating of the entire suite was very modern and up-to-date. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. The location of the hotel was is a very safe area with the Greektown casino across the street and many restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity. This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel, and would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. The staff was courteous and friendly and the shuttle service was a tremendous benefit, as we did not know our way around Detroit, and they took us to two destinations at no extra charge to our room rate. Shuttle drivers were super friendly and knowledgeable about Detroit and pointed out many sights as they took us to our destinations. Room service in the morning was prompt and the food piping hot and tasty. Great hotel to stay in!!

“The place to stay downtown!”

The staff is really courteous, polite and helpful. The room was spacious, luxurious even, but priced like a lesser place altogether.

“Best in Detroit”

This hotel is centrally located in Detroit's entertainment district. A short walk to Ford Field and Comerica Park, while being attached to teh Greek Town Casino makes the location great. There are plenty of restaurants to satisfy just about any tastes. The hotel itself is luxury with spacious rooms and glass blocked bathrooms. The staff is couteous and the facility is nice and clean. I would stay here any time.

If you want to be treated like royalty and have a spacious,beautiful, comfortable room, the Atheneum is for you! Valet staff was exceptionally helpful! Walking distance to Comerica Park. The hotel's restaurant -- Fishbones Rhythm Kitchen Cafe -- had great atmosphere, wonderful wait staff and most importantly, had delicious Cajun food & great seafood!

“ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FOR A ROMANTIC EVENING!”

The hot tub suite was breathe taking. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and GREAT grattitude was displayed! Absolutely perfect for an I'm sorry gift or a special occassion.
