We had a guest at school from California who we put up at Candlewood Suites. They travel a lot but spend very little time in hotels because of their work. She found the room, service and location to be quite enjoyable.

Good, but

My stay was very good except for one thing, one of the face cloths appeared to have some lipstick on it. Everything else was good , the room was neat and clean. Not sure how the ball was drop with the face cloth.

Great bang for the buck!

Looking online for a recent business trip, I was looking $200 / night. Candlewood was less than half that. Just needed a place to stay, didn't need anything extravagant, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. It looked new or recently renovated, clean, full size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, small stove, etc. efficiency suite. Larger than I anticipated. Hotel staff was great. The surprise continued however when I got my bill at checkout, even LESS than agreed upon, considerably less. Couldn't believe it. Great room, and VERY reasonably priced.

locked out when I arrived, wet seat in overstuffed chair, coat hooks pulled out of door and lying on a shelf, noisy and poorly constructed

Illegal Billing

Beware of giving this hotel your credit card for incidental services because they will bill an exorbitant charge for the room even though the room had been prepaid through Hotel.com when booking the room. Then if the credit card you give the hotel does not contain enough credit to cover the full cost of the excessive charge for the room, the hotel does not want to reimburse for any overdraft charges that they created by illegally billing for a room that had previously been paid for.

Great stay!

The suite was great! Very clean, wonderful bed and the layout was exactly what we needed. Its location was close to family in the area. They too were impressed with the condition and amenities -- plan to check into Candlewood Suites next time they travel out of town. Front desk staff very helpful in guiding us to local restaurants.

Great place for the money. Only stayed one night but for an extended stay this would be really nice. The kitchen was clean and had just about anything you would need. Definitely would stay here again.

One night stay

Some of the things about this hotel were unexpected. The room was clean and large and the bed was comfortable. There is no hotel 'lobby' however. The feel of the place is more like living in a low income housing development. The desk was behind glass and just the feel of the place was a bit lower class. When we were checking out there was an officer taking down some kind of report so I guess there had been an incident. We stayed there only because it was close by to a wedding we had to attend. There is nothing nearby, certainly not walking distance. No shampoo was in the bathroom. Not a terrible place but I probably would not stay there again if other alternatives existed.
