It was close to where we needed to go.

Location: NOTHING
The room was made but wasn't cleaned before we got there. We asked for a non-smoking room and found a package of cigarettes on top of the tv. Besides the fact that the room wasn't cleaned, the stay was very nice.

Pros: Price and location are excellent.
Location: A couple blocks away from old Tiger Stadium. Comerica Park is just a short drive.
Well worth the price. Might not want to arrive well after midnight.

Wasn't too bad you get what you pay for room smelled of cigarettes which we reserved a non smoking room that's about it, it served its purpose for an over night stay.

The best hotel you can find in a downtown for that low price. Not as bad. you can think. Bathroom was clean. Staff was very nice with us.

Bad area, good hotel.

It's in a sketchy area, although it's Detroit so good luck finding a non-sketchy area. The hotel staff were great, quick friendly service (less than 5 min for check in/check out combined) and a secured parking lot which made me feel more comfortable leaving my car when I went to the tigers game. Room was clean, the bathroom was actually cleaner than the Holiday Inn I stayed at in Manhattan during the same trip. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Detroit.

Nothing special but does the job cheaply

The hotel is nothing glamorous, but was clean enough, in a good location and cheap. I would go again.

Adequate for what I was looking for.

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Close to downtown. Free wifi. Good rate per nite. Quiet.
Cons: Maybe a coffee pot in the room. Also a microwave or small fridge.
Location: Not far from downtown and casinos or the River Walk which is very nice. Greek town is also in the area which is an attraction.
I was looking for something affordable and close to downtown and this was adequate. Nothing fancy and inexpensive but with free wifi. . Small room but quiet and clean. Towels were changed daily but bed not made which was no big deal for me. No in hotel restaurant but had several vending machines. Adequate parking and just the thing for someone who is only going to be looking for a bed to crash in at night. I would probably stay here again the next time I am in town.

Within walking distance of Ren-Cen

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Close to downtown/ & casinos.
Location: Casinos, downtown, west side nightlife
Was in town for Motor City Pride. We walked to the Ren-Cen per another hotel guest recommendation. I like this hotel. If you want just a comfortable, inexpensive place to crash where others won't interfere you should stay here. Some guests here were partying hard but were left alone by the staff behind the bullet proof glass. I would not recommend children staying here just to spare them seeing the hardships and realities of the human condition. I look at it this way, it saves me money, I feel relatively safe, and I get an opportunity to pray for a couple of people along the way, but not myself I really don't feel unsafe here. Bottom line, it is still Detroit and not in the most desirable neighborhood, so use caution if you think getting public services and transportation may be a truer concern. So many police in Greektown and maybe Downtown but the outer-lying areas are still quintessential Detroit longing for some TLC. Oh well, I would stay here again.
