Real close to The Henry Ford

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Good Staff, generous room size, Concierge Lounge.
Cons: Would be nice to have a microwave to complement the fridge.
Location: 1/4 mile from the entrance to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.
Had previously stayed in one of the Inn's cottages but this trip stayed two nights in a "Concierge" level room. The room had a generous sitting area, wet bar with fridge. Complimentary breakfast in the Concierge Lounge was more than adequate and a step up from chains catering to business travel.

Beautiful outdoor spaces

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The outdoor space.
Cons: Consider more cosmetic updates
Location: Greenwood Village and Fairlane Malls,
This hotel has lovely grounds with lots of green space for kids to run around and relax outside. They have kept the historic charm, but that leads to some drawbacks. The rooms are fairly small and the bathrooms a little cramped. They've done a nice job updating the bathrooms/bedrooms, but you still feel the age of the rooms...some my like this. The staff is very friendly and quite helpful. We ordered room service and the food was good and priced well. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Good base for visiting Henry Ford Museum

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Its history.
Cons: Service to visitors arriving in finding their rooms.
Location: Great location if you are visiting the Henry Ford Museum or Greenfield Village, or Ford plant.
I chose to stay at this hotel due to its history. While it is very beautiful, I was initially a little disappointed at being in a room outside the main building. I was provided with poor instructions of how to find my room and given no assistance in finding it. However, I was impressed with the assistance provided in travelling to a nearby shopping mall and also to and from the Henry Ford Museum and the Greenfield Village.

Great hotel!

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Cons: The room was quite chilly when we arrived and the thermastat didn't seem to make much difference. It was quite slow warming up.
Location: Greenfield Village is the biggest nearby attraction. Also the Rouge tour of the Ford plant is worth going to.
The Dearborn Inn is something special. The entire complex is colonial style and very beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We felt like a King and Queen in the room we had. Although a bit pricey, I would recommend the buffet brunch in the main building.

Exceptionally professional staff. Upgraded our accommodations when I asked for quiet room, as I was traveling from across the country for medical reasons and it was busy wedding season for hotel. Restaurant staff was outstanding, as was front desk crew and housekeeping. I will book all my monthly hotel visits with dearborn marriott!! Thank you staff!!!

I had a small colonial room with a king sized bed. There was literally only a 3 feet clearance around the bed making it difficult to do anything. The air conditioning was working and after calling twice to the front desk they told me the air conditioner needed a part and I had to ask for a new room. They room they moved me to didn't have a mini-fridge so I had to throw away my food. The room didn't have privacy and I could hear every conversation and people coming and going which kept me up until 5:00am. I asked to be moved again and in the next room...guess what? The air conditioning wasn't working there either! They insisted it was working and after having a technician visit and tell me the same thing, I turned up the air all the way and by the morning the room temperature had only gone down by one degree. The internet was slow and had to use my phone as wifi hotspot just to do anything. No complimentary breakfast. It's very pretty. You'll be impressed when you pull up to it. Don't stay here. Save the grief.

We visited the Dearborn Inn for a wedding. The wedding was down the street at the Ford Museum. It was great to be in such a close and appropriately decored venue.
