“Had a great weekend here for the NCAA Hockey Frozen Four!”

Great location, friendly staff. Only issue was Starbucks being closed on the weekend. Also liked proximity to People Mover. Area seemded much safer than overall reputation of Detroit.

“Great view from room”

A great location and a lot of places to shop and visit during stay and they are all inside. Remember that you will need to pay for public parking for your car.

“Nice view in Detroit”

The Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center was a beautiful hotel. It was very crowded the weekend we were there. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Room Service has generous portions. The hotel had only one restaurant, however, the Renaissance Center had several others to choose from. There were also shops to keep me entertained. The downside is that all of the restaurants are really pricy in my opinion and some of the food was just mediocre for what they were charging. The hotel has a wonderful view of the Detroit River and Windsor, Ontario, Canada if you can get a room with a river view. Overall, a great experience.

“The best of Detroit”

The service at this hotel was very close to being the best I have ever had. When I am on vacation, the hotel becomes my "castle" and I expect to be treated like a king! :-) I had nothing but the highest level of service from ALL staff members. They were friendly, helpful, social, knowledgeable and fun. The first night of my vacations I always find the hotel restaurant and order steak and lobster -- this is how I determine how the rest of the hotel stay will be. If I get great food and service the first night, I know I'm in for a good stay. The food at the Coach Insignia restaurant was exceptional - the service was even better. I may visit Detroit again -- just to stay at this hotel.

“Good Choice”

Every staff member encountered was courteous and helpful. Great location for downtown - close to all types of dining and we were able to walk any place. Just average size room but had an incredible view of downtown and was clean.

“reassuring visit”

It has been several years since I was in Detroit. The Marriott Renaissance was great, greeted by pleasant smiling staff upon arrival. Room was very clean. Support staff at the conference were quick to clean away cups and plates. Staff at hotel restaurant were attentive and professional. Would stay here again without hesitation.

“Beautiful Experience”

We checked in really late and the staff was so accomodating and friendly. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the room was so comfortable, clean and simply inviting. Having the view of the river and the city made our visit that much more enjoyable. I am a local resident of the city and I gained a different view of the city, which was simply breath taking. I would recommend this hotel to all looking for a pleasant get away.
