Checkin glitch though checkin person was pleasant and helpful. 60 min wait for valet parked car in am was too long

came downtown for the auto show. view was a tiny bit too much at first for someone not used to being up that high, but in the morning we didnt want to leave. we left the windows all the way open the whole time. staff was friendly, helped us get to our floor, more than apologised and helped calm a situation where another customer cut in front of us at check in and the clerk was unknowing of it until i informed her. easy access to people mover, downtown, hotel bar was nice, i love andiamo but we didnt go, but would have. the jr suite was great. nice and roomy. looking for another excuse to come downtown just to stay there again.

Stayed here before and parked in another garage. Do NOT use valet. Check in was supposed to be at 3, didn't get our room until 4. Waited hour and a half for our car at valet. Understaffed and unorganized. Should've comped us something and didn't. Bad experience

Room wasn't readiy until 6:45pm. Staff said they would call when it was ready... Got back in line after 1/2 of waiting and room was ready (no call)

While it is no excuse, it is possible that sometimes there is in fact a delay due to an unexpected and overwhelming number of guest checkins happening simultaneously. With a 1300+ room property, this sometimes happens when guests are arriving for a specific event. This is definitely not an excuse, however we wanted to attempt an explanation. Bad smell in room.

We had to go out and were late so we did not have a chance to talk to anyone but there was a really bad smell in the room. Waited forever for the elevators. Would not stay here again

Body parts

Our room was not cleaned when we checked in we found old pizza in the desk and then when we opened the curtains to check out the view we seen body parts impressions on the glass needless to say we made them move us the staff was very cool about it and the rest of our stay was good. I must say the beds were terrible super hard and not comfy at all

Easy access to Joe Louis Arena

Pros: Valet parking, the view, cleanliness, comfort of bed, customer service
Location: Near Joe Louis Arena with a People Mover to commute back and forth safely.
This hotel exceeded our expectations! It was clean in every area. Hotel staff was accommodating and everyone was extremely friendly! Not to mention the amazing view from our room! We will come back and will recommend this hotel to our friends.

Beautiful hotel, great location

Fantastic Staff, great location for all 3 sporting venues and casinos. Renaissance Centre has all the amenities you would need, rooms were large, clean and modern.
