“Extremely Impressed”
Staying at this hotel was one of the best experiences I've had staying at hotels over the years. The staff was extremely kind and professional. I will use them again.
“Would go back”
Was an above average hotel, nothing spectacular, but definitly comfortable and at a reasonable rate! Would stay here again.
“Enjoyed my stay”
The hotel was a very nice place to stay, i would recommend this hotel to family and friends. I only stayed one night so i was not able to experience alot of the services. Upon check in the front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.
“Nice hotel, convenient to Comerica park for Tiger game”
Modern room with comfortable bed and real down pillows. Wi-fi was $10/night but when I went to the front desk they gave me the password for free.Very nice of him.
“Older, but nice”
A very large, older hotel, but it has lots of nice amenities. Nice pools and workout center, there were a couple places to eat within walking distance, and there was a shopping center nearby. Kind of a confusing location to get to though. Very secure with key cards required at elevators and side doors.
“Doubletree Detroit”
This hotel was in a good location of Detroit, all things considered right now. We did get the cookies upon check-in, but our tv didn't work. We called the front desk to report it, but as there were several conferences going on, no other rooms were available. No maintenace came to our room to check it out either that night or the next morning. For the elevator, you had to have your key card to access the floors. Some times you did need your key card and other times it worked without it, so not the best security for a big hotel with several conferences going on.
“Bad experience at hotel resturant”
This hotel had a comfortable bed, but there was a stain on the bedspread. The hotel had a nice pool. I was not impressed by the workout area. Only one treadmill worked. We had an aweful experience at the resturant in the hotel. We had bad service and bad food. The dinner was "on the house," however, I expected much better experince considering it was a weeknight and the cost of the food.
“Just OK”
I'm not sure why it was rated as one of Detroit's top hotels. There was nothing remarkable about it....it had all the basics and that was about it. Staff were quite nice and friendly however did not seem to be very well informed of the surrounding area. We arrived at 3 p.m. and wanted to have a snack but there was nothing open in the restaurant. Room was cleaned in a timely manner. They had a security car constantly patrolling the parking lot so that was interesting. If we go back to the area, we would probably stay at the Hyatt nearby as that was within the same price range and a much nicer hotel.
