Construction moved the entrance around to the side door and removed half the lobby; noise from jackhammer was so load you couldn't communicate and it was at dangerous levels. I get that the work had to get done but you could not use the lobby and common area from 10 to 5. Had we known we would have gone elsewhere.

The hotel had no record of our reservation from Expedia, so check-in was a mess. The desk clerk was rude and not helpful. Luckily the manager on duty overheard the conversation and helped resolve the issue. I’m not certain who dropped the ball (Embassy Suutes, Expedia or both), but we were traveling with elderly parents, so it made the situation very difficult. To top things off, there was a jackhammer running as they were remodeling the entryway, so you could not hear yourself think while trying to check-in. The rooms are nice, but the process to get the room was a joke.

I believe that the tax should be explained before purchase, and I was also. I didn't know there was an occupancy tax, I'm just starting to travel a bit and a different incidental hold amount when I arrived. But I'll be more prepared next time, I would definitely revisit.

It was a great stay for the weekend. The breakfast was very delicious. I would stay here again. The rooms were clean and spacious.

We always like Embassy Suites because it accommodates large families,it is clean and it has the best breakfast.Of all the Embassy suites I have been with this Embassy suites has the best breakfast buffet ever.Why? The omelette special with jalapeño,bacon and cream cheese is the bomb,the pancake was very buttery,the coffee taste so good.I would go back to Detroit just to have a weekend stay in this hotel.There was just a delay in the shuttle but they said sorry and gave me extra Hilton points.But the experience of eating the breakfast I would give it a 10 star,the chef was the star.

It was loud trucks I think dumping the trash bins outside around 3-4am!!!!! I couldn’t sleep at all through the night bc I kept getting woken up by people running the water or the trucks outside!!!! I heard the trucks 2 days while i was there and I was there for 3 days and they came at 3-4am. So horrible then the maids cleaned my room but left no drying towels for shower. When I tried to get in touch with front desk no answer multiple times

Disappointing.
When I checked in I asked the receptionist if the pool/hot tub was still opened since it was a long day of traveling. She said it was and even pointed out the location for me. I immediately went to my room and change into my trunks and proceeded to the hot tub. Only moments after entering the pool room the security guard bust in and started SCREAMING at me that it was closed. I tried to calmly explain that the girl at the front..... "GET OUT" He kept interrupting me shouting for me to get out, it didn't matter, he didn't care, he's the "head of security". I wasn't even given the opportunity to speak over his shouting and obsession over his authority. It was really a pretty awful experience, and all I wanted was to quietly soak in a hot tube for a few minutes after a long day and a headache. Also, there was no shampoo in the room. They have these dispensers attached to the wall in the shower, which obviously aren't filled regularly. For a "suite" at a higher end hotel, and as a Hilton Honors Member, I was really disappointed.

My stay at Embassy suites is always great. Good food.. Always clean and calm atmosphere... Happy hour is always a plus.. I recommend it to anyone staying by the airport..

I would stay again
Service was great, staff helpful and friendly. Parking easy and plentiful. Room was clean, although issue with shower door not closing while taking shower. Pool was busy. Breakfast was really good. Overall Excellent stay and should be for the price.

I booked this because the ad suggested there was a restaurant on site. There is a fast serve burger place — definitely not the same. For $250 a night, this place is not worth it. We paid $75 to Uber to the Westin at the airport to find decent atmosphere/food because this place was depressing/lacked a restaurant. This is maybe a $99 hotel in a not great place like Romulus. Staff were nice but not much else.

Excellent property with great staff. From check in to checkout everything was terrific including the good complimentary breakfast. Very convenient to the airport. This is my “go to” property at Detroit Metro!

The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was great. The bed was comfortable. I liked the late afternoon snacks provided. It gave me an opportunity to meet new people and have pleasant conversations. If I come back to Detroit I plan to stay at Embassy Suites.

Easy to find, easy access to the property, close to the airport. All employees were courteous, friendly, attentive, helpful. The shuttle drivers, front desk clerks, food service, cleaning staff were first class. I give special mention of Toiya and Marren, at the front desk, as well as Steven and Ahmad, shuttle drivers. These staff members were exceptional in their efforts to make our stay pleasant and stress free. Thank you Embassy Suites, Detroit Airport. We will visit you again when we are in Detroit.
