“Would stay at again!”
The only problem I had with this hotel was finding it. It's not visible from the main road, and when I called the man at the reception desk told me it was obscured by the Hampton.... what he forgot to mention is that the Hampton was obscured by the Sheraton, so that would have been a better reference point. The rates were great, I think they were definitely a steal. The area seemed safe and secure. I was highly satisfied with my room, it was very clean and the furnishings well maintained. Checking in and out was a breeze. I enjoyed the restaurant located in the lobby, it was a great (and again cheap!) option for breakfast. I was visiting family in the area and would most certainly book at this hotel again! It definitely exceeded my expectations.
“served the purpose”
Very nice hotel and a reasonable rate. Not far from Ford field. Very friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint is the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Well they could also enclose the outside area for smokers, but we always expect to freeze at any hotel lol
“Overnight stay okay”
The stay was great in the hotel but the next morning when I found out that I would have to pay $12.00 for same breakfast I got in another city for free was bothersome. The night before I stayed in a similar Hilton hotel in Salt Lake City Utah and the breakfast was complementary. As I said, the night stay was great but to encourage the business class to stay here a breakfast should be included with the price of the room.
“Excellent hotel”
cheap price but not cheap looking. Excellent location and shuttle service. will be staying there again
“Very nice for the price.”
We booked out room last minute and still got a reasonable rate for a Saturday night. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Somehow - I managed to burn myself (on a curling iron) during our stay and the front desk was speedy and resourceful in helping me treat my burn (no hospital required). Kudos to the evening staff !! Will be back if the opportunity arises! Thanks!
“Tight Night”
The room we had was small and tight for 3 people. The beds were double without a sofa pullout. Also if you are looking for complimentary breakfast, they don't have it. We ran out of toilet paper and tissues. However, it was quiet and we were able to get a good night sleep.
“Detroit snowstorm”
As mentioned above, we were very happy to even get to the hotel on this particular evening. My only negative comment was that when we arrived downstairsthe following morning after 10:00 am to try and get something to eat, only to find that breakfast had been cleared (we knew we were late, but had arrived at the hotel very late the preceeding night). There would be no food served or offered until dinner - thus, no lunch. We had not eaten since the evening before, so we were a little hungry by the time we left to return to the airport. Ended up purchasing a couple of packages of crackers from the little store there.
“Mother and Daughter mini getaway”
I was looking for a hotel with an indoor pool for my daughter and I for alittle mini weekend getaway from the winter blahs. Expedia hooked me up with a nice hotel the Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel was very clean, the staff was nice, the rooms were very comfortable, and most importantly the reason we went was to go swimming!! The pool was wonderfully warm and very clean!! :)
“Will not return!”
The restaurant was poor. The salad came directly out of a platic bag. The appetizer was huge, too much, tasty but killed the appetite. The rib eye steak, most expensive dish on the menu contained too much fat. Waitress nice though. Mr. Hilton would not enjoy a dinner at that hotel.
“Great Hotel for the Price”
The hotel was great, the pool was really warm and my children loved watching the planes fly overhead. It was a bit noisy when you were outside, but they did a great job of making the inside soundproof. I would highly recommend this hotel if you need an overnight stay near the airport. The complimentary shuttle was a great bonus.
