“Good place to stay in the Detroit area”

Hotel was clean and safe. Bummer that taxis are limited in the Detroit area so you pretty much have to drive. Royal Oaks and Fernindale are good places to visit for dinner and recreation.

Everyone that worked there was very nice. I noticed that they were expected to help other workers when necessary, even when it was not their job.

“Home away From Home”

We so enjoyed our stay at The Hilton Garden Inn. The staff was professional and quite friendly. The food was excellent and offered a good variety. Due to severe weather, we had to extend our stay an additonal day and the staff went out of our their way to accomodate us. The beds were very comfortable which provided us with an excellent night's rest. We would definately stay here again!

“It's gone from "Good" to "Great"”

I have stayed at this hotel many times. it has always been comfortable and convenient. Something has changed, however. It is now exceptional. The staff is upbeat, they seem to go out of their way to make your stay there delightful, from the basket of fruit on the front desk ("Help yourself") to the little gift bag (a bottle of water and a snack) they give when you register, to the mint on the bed. The free WIFI (and cabled internet connection) works flawlessly. The place is clean, provides abundant towels and bathroom supplies, and each guest gets a freshly washed duvet. They are definitely "trying harder" and it shows!

“Quiet, courteous and comfortable”

I was extremely happy with the hotel. Everyone on hand was friendly and helpful and coming in on the late side at night (my 'business' was caring for a Parent in Hospital) I felt just two things could be improved. 1. In the hallways, I could smell the chlorine from the pool, but thankfully not in the room. This didn't bother me personally, but someone more sensitive might be affected. 2. Parking in proximity to the front door could be improved. Although everything is well lit at night, the parking is a trek to the front door. Once I found an entry available with my room card, I felt a bit better, but even walking down a long hallway is a bit disconcerting. Eventhough the Hotel is close to the highway, the windows are well insulated and the temp control in the room was fine. All in all, a good stay.

“Friendly Place”

Room was clean, maid service good. Staff polite and comfortably professional. Business center resources easy to use. Good wireless Internet. Lots of room for parking. Access from Interstate will be much better when construction is done. No traffic congestion from hotel all the way to downtown Detroit except in minor construction spots.

Great room and hotel. Lots of places to eat closeby. Inexpensive for the quality.
