Clean and efficient! Great location, well run hotel

“Safe in Detroit”

This hotel is pretty the same as other Homewood Suites I have stayed in. The biggest problem was the shower. The shower head was mounted about an inch away from the ceiling. For people of average height it makes it hard to adjust the shower head and impossible for most children. They also have "lo-flow" shower heads so it was almost impossible to take a hot shower.

“Simply Amazing”

Can't say enough good things about our recent stay. I will definitely seek out other Homewood Suites when planning trips. The room was very nice. Roomy and comfortable, nice touches like a bag of microwave popcorn. Was surprised that the suite even had a dishwasher. We enjoyed a complimentary dinner our first night, and it was outstanding, surprised to find a collection of beers and wine, included with the complimentary dinner. There was always something new at breakfast. All staff members were extremely helpful and polite. Our stay was very refreshing.

When we have to return to Detroit we will be staying at Homewood.

“My friendly home away from home.”

The staff is very friendly and helpful, that includes house keeping, maintence and all the rest. The Breakfast in the morning works, if your in a rush are not and there is a variety to choose from. You can eat healthy. The manager special in the evening was also convieniet. And if you can't get there in time to join in, they will make you a plate and leave it in your refridgerator in your room, so you have something to eat if your not up to cooking and you didn't eat out. Which is very cool, if your there on Business. And you also get wine are beer to choose from, which is nice. Workout room, Swimming pool and Laundry all serve the purpose and the outside setting is nice too! Only draw back is location of the Ice Machines and the one elevator that serves the entire Hotel, you can do some walking to get to them. The little Troy Airport is not noisy and not real busy except on Game Day. I enjoyed seeing the planes come and go and I saw a young family staying at the Hotel, standing at the fence watching and entertaining there kids as the planes took off on Game Day. I recommend the Hotel and if you like to shop, this is your Mecca. High end at the Oakland Mall. Costco is 4 miles away. And all the regular stores are less than a Half Mile of the Hotel. Free Internet in the rooms and lobby and Free Business Center. Great Hotel and Stay, I Recommend it.

Hotel was a great deal. We got a suite at single room rates. Full kitchen and sitting room made our stay a great experience

“Hidden Gem!”

I'll admit, I booked this hotel because of the low price, but boy was I surprised! The room was small, but very comfortable and nicely furnished. We barely noticed the airfield next door at all, despite my wife being a light sleeper. The kitchenette was even fully equipped with utensils! Not that you needed it for breakfast because the buffet was very well stocked. And if that's not enough, you're literally across the street from a large mall and walking distance to dozens of restaurants. My only negative experience was having trouble dialing out because the telephone instructions were wrong. In short, this is the sort of hotel I wouldn't mind spending a week or more in!

“Nice hotel, lousy breakfast!!!”

If you have ever had powdered eggs before you will know what I mean. Absolutely inetable!!!! Also, if they give you a room number ending in the 40's be prepared to WALK for ever! Longest walk to a room I have evr experienced. I turned 4, honestly, 4 coners and walked down 4 hallways before I reached the end where I found my room! You will not need the gym after that walk. But the rooms are nice and the staff is very helpful!
