The sink portion of the bathroom is in the bedroom area which is a strange setup.

Short stay good service

Posted Jun 25, 2015
I was only there for one night, but the staff was nice and made the process quick and easy. The only downside was that the internet connection was a bit slow

The hotel is very good value for the price.

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: It is easy to get to from our relatives homes.
Cons: don't know.
Location: Lots of restaurants and shops. Schoolcraft College is across the street. When it is in session, it has a luncheon the public can attend.
The staff is very helpful. The only staff that is a little off is the overnight shift. They are not that knowledgeable about the location of different area spots or the best way to get to the airport. This is our second stay - each time for a week - and will go again.

They blew off cleaning our room

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Room cleaning didn't happen one day and the next they didn't bother to restock toilet paper or towels. Not a friendly experience from the staff

They thought of everything

Posted Jun 8, 2015
A perfect hotel experience. I was driving from Chicago to visit Detroit, and wanted to be just west of the city to ease some of the driving. The Hyatt Place in Livonia was an absolute perfect location! Right off the highway about a half hour from downtown Detroit. There's even a Buddy's Pizza in Livonia, so you can get a Detroit very close to the hotel. And this hotel share a parking lot with a big multiplex movie theater, so any movie you want to see is right next door. The Hyatt Place hotels have done everything right. They give you everything you could ever want in a place to stay, without having to pay for a lot of extras. Yes, that means fewer amenities in the room like lotion and a shower cap, but you can ask for them for free at the front desk. The room has a nice sofa for watching TV and just lounging, and the sleeping area is sectioned off, so you're not staring at the bed. Never heard any noise in the hallway or the from the outside. All in all, a great stay!

Nice hotel close to where we needed to be

Posted May 24, 2015
It was great. The room was incredible and clean. The food there wasn't overpriced at all and it very good. The breakfast selection was great. It had the most to choose from than any hotel I've been to.

Nice place to stay in Livonia

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: Almost everything about it.
Cons: They should include a hot tub.
Location: Detroit is nearby. There's a movie theater right next to the hotel, too!
Amazing complimentary breakfast, very nice staff, heated pool, large air-conditioned rooms, and 24-hour menu. What's not to love?

Hyatt Livonia

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Normal room service.
The staff at the hotel are not the most professional people you've ever met. It seems like the staff does the bare minimum and sometimes can actually have a bit of an attitude. I ordered room service and they told me I had to come down and get it myself. They said it's a "select service" hotel. This is the first time i've ever been to a Hyatt that did not provide normal room service, and I travel for work pretty often. The air conditioner does not work properly, which caused some uncomfortable sleeping nights (hot and cold throughout the night.) Breakfast does not provide many healthy options at all, with the exception of the same fruit and yogurt everyday. Again, just seems like the staff is doing bare minimum. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again.
