Excellent hotel, very accommodating staff.Posted Mar 13, 2014
Pros: The breakfast and staff are exceptional.
Cons: I think the pricing should vary as the size and amenities of the room varies. Pricing is set only by bed size.
Location: Very close to Wayne State University, where we needed to be. Also close to Greek Town, Detroit Institute of Art and nice restaurants
We had intended staying only one night, but got caught by a serious snowstorm. The staff accommodated our need for in house meeting space and found me a room for the additional night. The rooms vary in quality, but all are way above-average. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding. They arranged food in for lunch during the storm. They recommended a restaurant for dinner and provided shuttle to and from.

A Downtown OasisPosted Feb 10, 2014
We stay at the Inn on Ferry Street every time we visit Detroit, which is about half a dozen times a year. It's a short walk to the DIA, and close to many other attractions. I look forward to our stays, as every room is unique and well-appointed and the breakfast is always top-notch. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. I can't say enough good things about it!

Wonderful Hotel In Cultural District Of DetroitPosted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: Absolutely everything about the hotel was superb. the free shuttle downtown was an enormous boon if you don't want to drive
Cons: In my attic room it took a bit of time for hot water to run into the washbasin but this is a very minor quibble considering the location of the room
Location: It's in the cultural district, the Detroit Institute Of Arts is one block away, and the Detroit museum just across Woodward Avenue both are excellent
I decided to treat myself to an early birthday present by visiting the North American Motor Show in Detroit. So I did some research and decided to give this hotel as it looked very different from the usual type of hotel I stay in when I visit the United States & Canada. Just as you walk through the front door you are overwhelmed by the perfect sense of welcome , the staff at the front desk make immediately you feel at home. I've always liked the style of Victorian Americana and to me this is the perfect example of that type of decor, the dining room/lounge is truly amazing and I spent ma,ny a happy hour sat reading in the chair in the corner by the front window, just sat by the fire drinking coffee and listening to the ticking clock. My room in the attic in the house next door was great, lots of room, huge comfortable bed, good shower/WC . Breakfast was also great loved the waffle maker

Very comfortablePosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very friendly, clean and inviting. Beautifully maintain buildings. Only drawback was a lack of elevator. Not a problem for us though.

Plus's and Minus'sPosted Nov 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The 'hotel' is really 6 large Victorian former homes on a quiet street in a neighborhood of similarly-sized residences. Bring a car because therer's NO meal service other than ordering out and having it delivered -- I wouldn't walk in ANY neighborhood in Detroit at night! There is a free service to drive you to anywhere within 5 miles, but the times are not always convenient. My driver was rude, and the pick-up service terribly slow (I ended up taking a taxi after waiting for a long time). Breakfast is lovely, and I liked the fact they also provided a paper.
