Nice hotel, great price

The hotel is undergoing renovations. The rooms were dated but clean. The lobby is gorgeous. The heating system is loud but I'm assuming it's under construction as well.

Pros: Rooms were nicely furnished and had great beds!!

Nice hotel; elevators prevented a good night sleep

Pros: Everything but the lack of sleep.
Cons: Acoustics.
Location: Primarily businesses nearby.
A fine hotel in a good location. Solid staff, good rooms. However, even though I was four rooms from the elevator shafts, I could hear them move up and down all night. This prevented a good night sleep. Then around 6am, someone started working, on repairs I presume, and the banging was incessant. This did not make for a comfortable end to the night's sleep. The hotel desperately needs to invest in acoustic insulation.

Good Hotel in Troy, Mi

Pros: Location, staff and cleanliness
Cons: Refrigerator in room
Location: Within a mile every store you could think of.
Updated room, with nice bedding, very clean and quiet. Hotel Staff very accommadating. Good location right off I75.

Solid Marriott Property

The staff was great, I appreciated the free self-parking garage, and the bar menu was just what you want in a hotel lobby bar menu. The room was generally comfortable, but there were little flaws of design that could so easily have been fixed--power outlets on one side of the king bed but not on the other, badly placed light in the bathroom so that you shower in darkness when you pull the shower curtain, not enough room around the sink to comfortably hold a toiletries case, etc. The room's thermostat seemed to have very little control over what the heating/ac unit was actually doing. And my back did not like the mattress on the bed, though it seemed comfortable enough.

Clean, comfortable room.

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Nice, HOT water in shower. My only minor gripe: the bartenders in the lobby lounge provide very slow service, and have zero personality. Lighten up guys, you're in the hospitality industry, and it's much better for tips.
