Good stay for the price

Posted Jul 5, 2015
First time in Detroit for a visit. Nice, clean hotel. The only problem I had was the distance from the airport. Probably the reason for the inexpensive price. So it was a wash. But would recommend it. Would suggest a better breakfast though. More hot foods.

We chose this hotel sight unseen and were pleasantly surprised. Clean room, comfortable bed and quiet.

Business Trip

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: Staff was very attentive and friendly.
Cons: Vending machine missing.
Location: Was there on business and had no time for sight seeing.
Found the facility and staff to be above my expectations since I booked the room rather late. Served my needs well for a business stay-nothing fancy, but clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Great Staff and Hotel Amenities

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Great amenities, fairly inexpensive rates, cleanliness of rooms, responsiveness of staff, and really everything you would expect to be a 5 star hotel.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was amazing.
Location: N/A
Staff offers bottled water upon arrival and departure. When asked to inspect/fix a certain problem, maintenance staff is extremely ready at a moment's notice. Although the place was under construction/revamping at the time of our stay, the staff and our amazing room made us forget the floor below ours was in the process of being fixed. I would highly recommend this to a friend and will revisit when I possibly can.

It was close to everything in my visit.

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Close to everyplace I was going during my stay.
Cons: Just the noise the fan in the bathroom was making
No problems, only that the fan in the bathroom was super loud when you would turn on the light.

I caught them in the middle of a renovation, so my stay was a bargain, well below market rate for a Quality Inn, in exchange for stepping over some bare floors in the lobby. The rest of the hotel seems to have already been renovated. They had a brand new washer and dryer, the room felt new and was very comfortable. The new breakfast bar looks like fun, with two brand new waffle machines. They where finishing it up when I was checking out. The staff is curious. No problems with check in, check out or housekeeping. The hotel is located across from the GM Tech Center. There are lots of great places for cheap take out nearby, just ask Yelp! Suburban Detroit has lots of cultural variety and has never heard of "fusion." It's all down home Thai, Honduran, Indian, or Mediterranean served in styrofoam clamshell out of a repurposed chain restaurant. Plus, Buddy's next door if you want Detroit's own deep dish pizza. I had business in downtown Detroit, so like the rest of Metro Detroit, I commuted. Because life in Detroit means you spend more time in your car than any place else, I booked an affordable suburban chain hotel and put the difference toward the rental car. Pretty good strategy for a downtown Detroit stay if you'd like to borrow it, a stay in the suburbs in exchange for a fancy rental ride. You will be driving every where else and all the time to do every little thing, so you'll appreciate your car far more then you'll appreciate your hotel.

Conveniently located for my needs

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Hotel was under construction. Had to be very careful where you walked with no signs posted. Stated they had a work out facility and did NOT! Also vending machines were out of order. However, the rooms were above average as far as cleanliness. Would stay there again once construction is completed.
