“Excellent Stay!”

I was in town for pleasure, and was quite impressed with the room amenities as well as the continental breakfast offered. This hotel really did offer a "home away from home" experience, and the hotel manager was very nice and helpful, recommending local restaurants and where the nearest stores were to get supplies. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

“Very Nice setup”

Nice free buffet, awesome rooms and very secure. Plenty of food chains nearby and within walking distance to the Comerica building.

We were impressed with the condition of the Hotel and the rooms. Very up to date and kept clean. Housekeeping people were very friendly and were always holding doors for us. Breakfast was wonderful and the evening early supper is a wonderful idea.

“Superb for families”

Our room at the Residence Inn consisted of a main living area which have sitting, dining and cooking areas, and two large bedrooms off, each with a queen size bed and a decent sized bathroom area. The cooking side to the living area had sink, microwave, main cooker, fridge/freezer, etc. This all made it perfect for us, a couple with two small (7 & 9) girls, because we could prepare picnics and snacks or even a full meal one evening. The hotel brochure claimed to give a 'complimentary' breakfast and we feared the worst, but it was really good - a magnificent choice, and we always left feeling full. The cereal choice changed day by day, and when the girls' favourites were NOT on display, we only had to ask, and lo, the girls bowls were full ! Hotel had a small but nice pool too, as well as a small gym.

“Residence Inn was comfy and private! Loved It!”

This was my first stay at Marriot's Residence Inn and I have to say it is the way to travel especially if you are going to be somewhere for many days. My trip was overnight but I thoroughly enjoyed it. This location is walking distance to Comerica Bank and dozens of brand name dining. The accomodations were huge with a kitchen, sectional sofa and seperate bathing/dressing area. They even had the desk in a great spot for TV viewing and FREE wireless.....not this 9.95 crap you get most places. I will def stay here again. Fox Drive is currently under construction but open....easy to drive by this off six mile without stopping so slow down and look carefully otherwise you will go about a mile each way to correct your error.

“Nice hotel - good value”

We stayed here for 6 nights and were very pleased. The rooms were spacious and clean, well stocked with cooking utensils, plates, pots and pans, etc. which allowed us to save some money by cooking instead of going out to dinner. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good - a wide variety of hot and cold options. The area surrounding the hotel is full of restaurants and stores, but they are all chains, and we prefer more independent establishments, so this was a bit of a disappointment as we couldn't really find any local flare anywhere, but you'll always be able to find someplace to eat.

“a quick trip made better”

We stayed just one night in the Livonia area and the hotel made our stay more relaxing than we could have hoped. The room was clean and quiet and had everything we needed. The restaurant nearby was an added plus.

“Solid, Functional and a nice staff”

This hotel is a little tough to find. The signage is small and aside from the roadway, and the hotel is behind 2 other buildings. There are 3 other hotels on the loop. At check-in the 2 young gentlemen at the front desk were great. Very nice and fun to talk with. The only negative was the shower stall is in need of repair. Nothing major just a matter of some small fix up. It was noisy but for University of Michigan Homecoming Week it was acceptable. The hotel is in area of several stores, grocery and general as well as places to eat. I would stay here again. A little TLC and this place does everything one needs for a stay!
