Loved the warmth and helpfulness of the hotelPosted Feb 5, 2014
I wanted a yogurt to go this was not on the menu. They were accommodating. Loved the high end details of the building. Very nice

Nice... But used to be betterPosted Nov 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed here several times before, and it feels a bit different now. Small things but indicative. Like soap bars not being replenished daily. Complimentary water bottles not replenished fully. Wifi not really working. Checking-in into a half-empty hotel - placed by the elevators first. Still a very clean, nice hotel. Good restaurant and bar. But they need to keep it up.

Beautiful Hotel in a lovely smaller cityPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: The people were top notch and the decor was as well.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind - we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
Location: Located just off main street where there are plenty of restaurants of all cuisine. There are plenty of name brand stores within 10 minutes drive.
My wife were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived and it kept getting better. The staff were attentive and the room was beautiful. The entire hotel was high-end quality and simply exquisite, but not at all overpriced we expect to return now that we have found this place and we will explore the area even more. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone as they, too, will experience this gem of a place.

The Royal Park is as good a hotel as we have stayed in in N of Detroit. It is within easy walking distance of the main street of Rochester, with its nice array of shops and restaurants. Wonderful experience.

Comfort and elegance.Posted Oct 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
There was only one bedside table and lamp-not convenient when two people want to read in bed. The background music in the public areas could have of higher quality-too much jazz; not enough Mozart

Everything is top end. Minor items: desk staff can, on occasion, get overly engrossed in responding to phone calls; however, the reception area is a great place to cool your heels for a few minutes. The live music in the lounge bar on weekends is deafening to anyone with normal hearing, so take your drink and friends to the nearby library.

Disappointed in customer servicePosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room and hotel were quite nice however what I will always remember is the customer service. We were attending a wedding and utilized their shuttle service to the wedding. There were many guests that needed to get back to the hotel but once the shuttle was done (it only carried 5-6 people) at 11 it would not make any more trips even though there were many people that still needed picked up. When I spoke to the front desk they were dismissive and not helpful. It was disappointing that they wouldn't extend this service to all of the remaining guests.
