My husband and I couldn't use the hot tub because there were children at least all under 6 years old playing in the hot tub and no one was watching them or even telling them to get out. We had to switch rooms because there was a large family who basically took over the entire 3rd floor where our first room was. This was our first stay here and we will not be back.

Very nice hotel and pet friendly. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen area is perfect for a family. It was also nice and quiet.

Breakfast could be a little better for price of place but was not terrible. Lady working the buffet was a little rude. Instead of asking to get by you to get into a cabinet or to swap out food she would just say move or I need In there and was very short. All other staff was really nice. Very clean room except above the microwave where vented but all in all really nice. Hot tub was not hot. Just luke warm/ room temperature.

Overall fine, heads up for housekeeping though...
Booked a one night stay as a same day stop for the last night of a trip back to MI from the Carolinas for the holidays. Booked via the hotels.com app, no issues with the booking, price seemed fair based on comps in the area. Queen bed room, small kitchen included with full fridge and seating area. Room was fine, good location to the laundry facilities which I was happy to leverage. Hotel shop grossly overcharges for detergent and dryer sheets but that is kinda to be expected in this scenario, no affect on rating. Clean room, good water pressure, sink across from closet, included laundry basket which was nice. Gentleman working check-in seemed nice enough, no issues, happy to help etc. Main issue was housekeeping. Check out time told to me and on the app was 11am, standard time for hotels in my experience. Typically 11am means 11am, not 930 or 10 etc, seemed like a fair assumption. Housekeeping entered my room around 930am without any warning, I woke up to the door opening and someone discovering I'm still in the room. She left quickly so I could finish resting after a week of travel, shut my eyes again. Started prepping to leave around 10am, 1 hour prior to cutoff time, just for someone to enter around 1030 and be ignorant enough to point to her watch like I'M the one with the issue here. If you want people out of the rooms by a certain time, tell them that ahead of time. Leave by 10am to be safe, otherwise privacy is out of the question.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the communication error. We do ask guests to utilize the do not disturb sign to let housekeeping know you are in there and not to be disturbed. We have many guests that don't let housekeeping know they vacated so it places housekeeping to have to guess who's there. Letting us know what checkout time and/or utilize the DND sign is what we rely on. We thank you for visiting and hope you give us another try.

Toilet is plugged whenever toilet paper is flushed, had to get a plunger from the front desk multiple times. Some of the GFCI outlets are reset so that some outlets down the line didn’t work. Breakfast is terrible: food is stale and tasteless; cut fruit must have been cut for days, tasting fermented and bacteria-laden; the orange juice from the machine tastes diluted. Room was not cleaned at all one day. The place overall is dated and room layout is weird.

I apologize that you feel that way. We have a lot of guests that enjoy our breakfast. We do have gfi protectors that do pop when too much electricity is used at once. It is in compliance with code as we are a wood structure hotel so it is added precaution for fire to protect our guests and staff; it is an easy fix to just push in the gfi button and it is good to go. The cut fruit actually comes sourced cut and sealed from Sysco and opened daily to ensure food safety and compliance. So our guests can rest assured, we do meet all safety compliance and do pass our inspections with flying colors. The juice machine automatically calculates water to juice ratio but when it is low it could be too much water, then you can just make the attendant aware and they'll happily replace it. There is no housekeeping on weekends I apologize but during the week there is daily light touch and once/week full clean service.

Property and staff were very good. Great accommodations. The only constructive feedback is that the swimming pool house had too much chlorine...so we could not swim.

I apologize the chlorine levels seem extreme but we are tested daily and samples collected by the city all meet guidelines. It is the largest pool in the area and does require a certain amount of chemicals for safety for our guests. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you come visit us again.

Best hotel
I never sleep well in hotel beds but this place was the best. For two nights in a row I slept the best I ever had in a hotel bed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cozy, almost just like home.

I loved everything about this hotel, except the breakfast. Don’t expect much in the way of good hot food. But the pool area was awesome. Lots of towels, nice hot tub, big pool with a shower on the side. They even had conditioner and shampoo included at the pool. We loved the large size room, and the TV with both Showtime and HBO included. Most helpful for us was that the hotel is dog friendly and there were large areas to let your dog walk in with some long paved paths.

Little vacation
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was nice and clean. The kitchen area had everything we needed and then some. The beds were soft and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very nice. My children and I loved staying here.

The room was perfect. I was traveling with my mother in law and my brother in law. He has the sofa bed and we had the room. It was perfect. Bigger than I expected kitchen. Mid size fridge was perfect for storing frozen goodies that we stock up on while in Michigan.
