“Will use hotel again”

The hotel was great and near great resturants. I only had one issue where I bought the package from expedia but the hotel ended up charging me as well so I had to call to get the hotels invoice credited. I think this was really just a oversite and the hotel was great.

“Great place to stay”

Our room was very clean and the location was very safe and close to mall and restaurants. Staff was very friendly. We missed breakfast one morning and the attendant got both of my children cereal and milk to go. She was always friendly and provided excellent customer service.

“Like Home”

This was my second stay at Townplace Suites in Livonia and I enjoyed it even more than the first time. Everyone who works there seemed to care a great deal that my needs were met. If you want a quiet place where you can prepare your own meals and have a parking spot close to your room, then this is the place for you.

“Nice place to stay, if you can find it...”

The room was great and the staff was helpful. They tell me they're working on adding breakfast, and that will be a plus. However, the first driveway sign (off the main road) is short, unlighted, and hiding behind a mall sign that is both large and lighted - it was after 10 pm and I didn't see it. Had to double back. Second sign indicating where one should turn off of THAT road... doesn't exist at all. Once I found it, it was very nice and comfortable!

“TownPlace Suites, Livonia, MI”

Thought this would be comparable to Hilton's Homewood Suites; boy was i wrong. Sparce furnishings, smallish room (I had the studio) and ridiculously small TV; i didn't measure it, but it was smaller than 19" (WTF, is this 2000?), low def with a crappy signal (same thing with the Livonia Embassy Suites, although a little bigger, but won't be getting my business again soon). Being in town all week and not much of one to sight see (Detroit, after all...) I like to just relax and watch sports on TV. If it had been football season, I would have immediately checked-out. The breakfast is the exact same carb-fest every morning; cereal or instant oatmeal, yogurt, god-awful coffee, pre-packaged muffins (terrible), juice and bananas. That's it! For Asians, they have a rice cooker with a bunch of packaged stuff I wouldn't consider eating, but perhaps they found adequate, but don't stay here for the breakfast. The gym had a good treadmill, elliptical and recumbent bike, but no weights at all. There are several other places in the area that for the same money would be a better choice. The Hyatt Place on Seven Mile Road has rooms twice as big (no kitchen, but a microwave and small refrigerator), 47" flat-screens with a HD signal, wonderful beds and a plethora of breakfast choices, continental free and cooked to order for a charge.

“Will never return”

The layout of the room was perfect and the location was great but the maintenance and cleanliness of the room was terrible. The room was a little out-dated and could use a remodel but that is not an issue. The problem was it was not kept clean. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and even though the dishwasher was run they never came clean. There were stains on the rug and walls in places. Crumbs and other spills in the drawers and under the kitchen sink and holes in a bedroom wall. I would expect there to be a deep cleaning between guests and it does not appear this has happened in a very long time. There are also minor repairs needed that are not done. Since the layout was good and the hotel appeared to be nice, this was a big disappointment. I was shocked to find this at a Marriott property. It is hard to find hotels with separate rooms for families and it is extremely unfortunate that we will not be able to stay at the Marriott Townplace Suites again.
