Hotel was clean , staff was friendly. However others staying there made our stay quite annoying. Kids running around up and down halls screaming. Adults up playing music partying until 5 am. Not pleasant.

We were told to expect some noise from renovation. Ok sure. What we were not told: pool was closed (daughter disappointed, since this was a criteria for staying), no hot water for a full day, random ear piercing alarms going off, did not receive housekeeping as requested, did not receive pet free room as requested for allergic wife needs, power outlet randomly stopped working. Bummer, won’t stay again.

Going down hill
Our room had a leak. We were then moved to a studio room which is not what we asked for. Our room was switched the next day. The tub was black , there were cracks. This hotel has gotten worser than what it was.

No Towne Place Suites Warren, MI
The desk clerk was rude and more focused on whatever social media site she was on than doing her job. So much so that she charged my card over $400 for a reservation that was booked and paid on Hotels.com prior to my arrival. This hotel should be condemned. Our door didn't lock securely, the room was horrible. There was blood on the mattress and sheets, the room was horribly dirty, the bathtub/shower looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years until they got our reservation. After reaching out to Hotels.com to complain and request that we be relocated the desk staff had the nerve to get an attitude.

Not family friendly
We rented the room based on the fact it said family friendly hotel. 1 hour after checking in we were told we have to keep our 2-year-old autistic son contained or we would have to leave. The room we rented was also very lightly cleaned the floors were disgusting and everything on child level you could tell is not wiped down. Also every time we entered and exited the hotel there was people smoking cigarettes right outside the door when we mentioned it to the employees several times they did absolutely nothing about it. The property was labeled as a smoke-free property and family-friendly we did not feel that at all.

Bed room door did not lock and pull out couch bed was nasty, no covering on it. Towels in work out room were not very clean. The renovation looks like it’s gonna be really nice

Filthy dirty! There was literally poop on the steps in the stair wells, everything falling apart and/or completely outdated. We had to ask for a remote, which didn’t have working volume control buttons. Fights were breaking out everywhere, dogs barking in the hallways. Do not waste your money!!!

Our suite was nice but it smelled so musty that we had to wash everything that we took with us. We tried avoiding downtown Detroit and that part was great, but when I checked in I was told I wouldn’t be charged a deposit…”just don’t smoke or trash it” she said, smiling. For reference, I am a clean cut 43yr old white male. When we walked out for dinner, I heard the same girl tell a black couple at the desk how much the deposit was and when it would go back on their card. I was appalled and shocked. I mentioned it to the black hostess who came on at night and she said the white girl who was working earlier was her boss. Yikes.

The staff was helpful. The breakfast was good. Our room had a very strong odor possibly from carpet cleaner to try to cover pet odor. The air conditioner was hard to adjust temperature.
