“Convenient traveling through Detroit”

Very convenient to break up a long trip. Next time I will allow more time between flights so I can be more leisurely in my stay

Used the park and fly. Very convenient if flying Delta. Literally steps away from your room to your departing gate. Awesome.

This hotel is worth the money! The service is good and it is near the airport and close to downtown.

Very quiet and clean hotel. The gym could have had more machines but otherwise a great place! A little inconvenient if your flying other than NW Airlines. They have a shuttle that runs every 15 mins to the other terminals. Glad I was there in 70 degree weather!!

“Detroit's Airport Oasis”

Stepping out of Detroit Metro's Airport Terminal and into the Westin Hotel was a welcomed oasis. Even though they advertised "soundproofing", we still expected to have the normal noise associated with a hotel stay. We were wrong. The expansive lobby absorbs sound easily. The reflecting pool, glass elevators, and asian-style decor are a beautiful example of form and function. The overall quietness was broken only by other guests talking with each other or the extremely professional hotel staff. As people who enjoy watching planes arriving and departing, it was a pleasure to watch them from our room's window without the screaming jet engines interrupting our conversations or sleep. Our stay was totally relaxing and we waited as long as possible before re-entering the airport terminal itself to soak up as much of the oasis experience as we could.
