Centrally placed guest house in small market town

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Location: We only stayed one night. However, it is near the Grand Western Canal so opportunities for walking and cycling.
This was an overnight stay but we found the owner and staff to be friendly and helpful, able to give an assessment of various local restaurants. The breakfast was good and set us up for the day.

Excellent B&B and bike stop

Posted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: Poached eggs are spot on. Porridge not bad either!
Cons: Parking area could be improved.
Location: Good area for sight seeing walking and excellent Exmoor beauty cycle route.
Excellent welcome and good support through stay. Bikes were securely kept in shed, behind/ next to b& b, this was very reassuring. Lovely breakfasts kept us cycling all day.

Pros: A good welcome, convenience.
Location: It's just a couple of minutes to walk into town. Parking might be awkward.
A perfectly good town centre B&B., comfotable and clean, with a good breakfast. Electric shower a bit tricky. Good value.

Accomodation for Exmoor Beast

Posted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: Cycle friendly
I wanted some cycle friendly accommodation for Exmoor Beast and saw this place online. The bike was stored in a dry locked location. The staff offered to start breakfast early (0700 on a Sunday) for those doing the ride. Although, this was too late for me, it was a good offer for which the other guests entered on the Exmoor Beast took up. Also, the race HQ is only 5 mins ride away. Thus, overall I would recommend this as suitably cycle friendly accommodation and may suit those wanting to do the Exmoor Beast/Beauty.

Hard to fault it.

Posted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Arrived 15 minutes before check in, but was welcomed in without a hint of being an inconvenience. After a 6th day of cycling over 130 miles, I was very glad to see a welcoming face. Secure lock up around behind the house for peace of mind for any other LEJOG'ers considering this as a stop over. Room couldn't be faulted, a small amount of road noise but I have never personally been used to road noise leaving on a farm all 20 years of my life. A great place to stay for all occasions, with incredibly friendly owners. Also its worth mentioning for those fellow athletes they also offer sports massage etc, subject to availability of course. I would gladly stay here again, if i ever venture down that area again.

Pros: Friendly staff and good breakfast

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Very handy to the town. The location a little noisy but our stay was on Saturday night. We would use this B&B again.
