“Top notch small hotel in historic setting”
Such a lovely place to stay in a very nice location right in the heart of a great little town. We are regular visitors to Dartmouth and usually self cater but this time for just 2 nights we chose the hotel. The management are new to the job and had a hard act to follow by all accounts. But they know their business and impressed us. We were upgraded to a larger room without asking but saw the other rooms and they all had a charm and quirkiness to be expected in a very old building although the fittings and ensuites were modern and very tastefully done. The hotel is but a few yards from the historic departure point of the Pilgrim Fathers. The features of the town, including some excellent restaurants and pubs and the brilliant cinema in the Flavel are in easy walking distance. The hotel features a good tapas menu and even had some live music for one of the evenings. The breakfast was also excellent.
