“May go back again if”

The hotel was excellent with good parking, easy access to major roads etc but far enough off the beaten track to give a sense of isolation from the day to day. Food was very good from the onsite pub which also sold good ales. Fast friendly service from staff is also a point to mention. Only one disappointment for my partner and myself was the sauna and steam rooms were in separate male / female changing areas thus preventing us sharing relaxation and enjoyment of the facilities together.

“Be aware”

You can be put in one of the rooms in the lodges as we were and in the weather we had you get wet just going to breakfast! We found our room very clean but rather clinical.The extractor fan didn't work in our bathroom so the room got quite hot but am sure this was just a hiccup.

“Very comfortable”

Long walk from reception to rooms - no balcony - which I was expecting for some reason. Bit difficult to find but very nice setting once you get there. Would use it again - good value for money.

“Booking”

We booked 2 double rooms together and when we arrived found that 1 couple were in the North lodge and the other couple in the main hotel!!!We could not change rooms and the hotel recetionist, although polite just said that this happens some times. Not vey happy about this.

“Average Hotel”

The hotel is situated in a nice part of Devon. Double rooms are smaller than twin rooms.Rooms with estuary view are best. Rooms on other side have no view and look over a railway line. Hotel wes very busy at times with business and wedding bookings. So service was sometimes slow.Rooms are comfortable and public areas pleasant.
