Great location for the UniversityPosted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Signage for the car park.
Stayed here for 1 night with my daughter ahead of an interview at Plymouth Uni. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. Would definitely use this hotel again. I did struggle to find the hotel car park and having found it, it is not very big so my advice is don't assume you can park at the hotel. The staff said there are lots of car parks nearby and you may be able to use the Sainsburys car park when they are closed.

Ships that pass in the night.Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Central location
Cons: A smile from the breakfast staff .....
Just one night in Plymouth to visit the Theatre Royal. Hotel large, bland, clean, staff fine, breakfast tasty, ideally placed for the railway station and things going on in Plymouth. Price right and a good nights sleep. Thank you Copthorne Hotel

Questionable EthicsPosted Oct 11, 2014
I booked this hotel by accident on my way to Portsmouth. Ninety minutes later when I arrived and realized I had booked a hotel in Plymouth rather than Portsmouth I rang up to see if they would be so kind as to cancel my booking on account of the mixup. They refused to make the cancelation and took my money in full. Very disappointed in the ethics of the staff. Clearly they were not out any bookings as they still had plenty of rooms available when I rang them.

We enjoyed our stay at copthorne hotelPosted Oct 6, 2014
Although it is a little dated in decor, this hotel was very comfortable and my daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location is great for the city centre. We will definitely return.

good hotel in Plymouth.Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: roon had a central light fitting with a fan as well, this was useful as there is no a/c in rooms, room did also have a portable fan in the wardrobe
Cons: no extra charge for a hot chocolate at breakfast.
Location: on corner of a very busy roundabout so noisy if you open window. close to Sainsburys supermarket and other shops, near Plymouth Pavilions theatre
good hotel, but 2 flights of steps from front door to get to Lobby reception area, with no lift, not great if you are dragging suitcases. small car park underneath hotel, £6.50 per car to park there per night. then 4 flights of stairs to get to lobby area, up narrow staircase. I do not drink tea or coffee, and asked for hot chocolate at breakfast. I was told there would be an extra charge of £1.50 for that. As I had already paid £8.50 for breakfast I considered that excessive. She said it was because they had to make a full pot of it, I did not want an entire pot, just one cup would have sufficed. I complained to reception staff on check out. good size bathroom and facilities
