“Great value”

Needed somewhere to stay for a night while visiting the university. The owners were really nice and the hotel was clearly well cared for. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really nice, so it was great value for what it cost. Would definitely recommend for all kinds of visits to the city.

“Nice B+B”

This B+B is ideally situated for the city centre, being only a few minutes walk, and about ten minutes from the quayside. Room was absolutely fine and clean, quite and secure, tea and coffee provided etc. Car parking is via a service lane at the back (its not obvious when you first arrive). Breakfast was very good and owners are friendly and helpful.

“Brilliant Hotel - would recommend”

Stayed one night in light airy and spacious four poster room. Were checked in by 11.30am as no guests in the previous night. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Good location for shopping, restaurants etc...walking distance (10 minutes). Good quality linen and towels. Lovely breakfast including vegitarian option. Wouldn't hestitate to go back and would thouroughly recommend. Good value.

“Friendly welcome and information on 'bus services, restaurants, etc. was readily provided.”

The Edwardian was so much better than its outside suggested. My room was comfortable and quiet, despite the busy road below. Breakfast was quickly served and delicious. Above all, I would recommend this hotel for the friendly welcome I received.

“Very convenient for city”

Centrally located, clean and efficient. The (free) car-parking space is limited but there is a car park opposite the building.

“Cosy Handy Place”

A very convenient location, 100 yards from a cinema, 200 yards from the bus station, and about 10 minutes from the very centre of the city by foot. The outside of the hotel gave no indication of how really nice this place and the proprietors would be. My room was clean and very comfortable, with free wireless internet, and a very clean modern en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was cooked to order, and did not disappoint! I would be very happy to stay again.

“Cute hotel... Great hospitality, small room”

I came to stay here because I had an interview at the nearby st luke's campus of the university, which turned out to be just a quick walk up the road. Very handy location and the price was reasonable. I had room 6, a single with ensuite bathroom. The bathroom was tiny but had all you needed. In general the room was small, fine for the one night stay I had but I won't book that room again if I stay again for a longer period.chances are I will go back because the lady was so welcoming and helpful, felt so looked after. Had to leave early for my interview, no problem, have breakfast early. Need to check out but leave my luggage, no problem she locked it in the office. She was so chatty and friendly, I wanted to give her a hug when I left!

“Overall pretty good”

The front facade looks a bit worn, and the B&B fronts a main road. But there was sufficient parking at the back and the location is excellent, right near the centre. Friendly service finished the deal. We enjoyed our one night's stay.
