“More than 'tired' this hotel is exhausted!”
I know that decor doesn't make a hotel, and to be fair the room was clean, (although no light bulb in the bathroom, but hey it was light outside) and I wouldn't have wanted to plug anything in to the electric socket as it was hanging off the wall. Worse of all though was that there were lumps taken out of the door, walls and ceiling in our room - the door in particular was like something from a horror movie… That said, as usual the service cannot be faulted nor can the excellent breakfast it's just so off-putting when you see the state of the decor. It's such a shame as we use the hotel as it's convenient for the station, and know what we're getting but other people might not.
“Clean room, OK staff, very old & creaky building”
I was there for a job interview and stayed only one night. The hotel apparently needs some serious structural overhual. The room I got in the beginning has a ceiling that creaks loudly whenever there was some movement upstairs. Every step upstairs can be heard in my room and the creak was so loud I had to turn up the TV volume so I could hear better. At one moment It felt like the ceiling was going to cave in any minute, and that's when I asked the manager to put me in another room. To be fair the hotel manager did listen to my complain and put me in a much better room quickly, and the room was indeed very clean and tidy. The biggest problem is the building is WAY TOO OLD !!! The entire building creaks like a 100-year old rusty merry-go-round. It is a pity that the hotel staff has to work in such poor environment, and a even bigger pity for the customers. I believe this is not hotel staff's fault but as a customer I was feeling very disappointed.
“would, stay here!!”
the hotel is very old & looks it the room was small & there were no shades on the lamps we thought we were in very poor staff rooms needless to say we only stayed to view the room then booked elsewhere
“The Worst Hotel I Have Stayed In”
It was absolutely dreadfull, the hotel is in serious need of updating, even some of the staff agree that it needs updating, there are old fittings in the room which are not being used, there are loose telephone wires, there is not 1 thing you can say nice about the hotel and I would definately not be recommending it to anyone and I will not be staying there ever again.
