Convenient hotel for all amenities in PlymouthPosted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort and helpfulness of staff.
Cons: Food and hot drink in the bar was not warm enough on a couple of occasions.
Location: Five minute walk to the centre of Plymouth for shopping. Ten minute walk to waterfront for bars and activities.
I stayed for a few nights on the way down to visit friends. The hotel staff were very friendly and helped me out towards the end of my stay when I had to leave some luggage behind for a few days. The hotel bar and restaurant meant I could eat the night I arrived before going out into Plymouth. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The view from the front of the hotel isn't the best but it is better at the back as it is a few minutes walk to the waterfront and the Hoe.

Handy for BarbicanPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The location close to the Barbican area with its bars and restaurants and the helpfulness of the staff.
Cons: Had paid for the car park next door before realising that it was cheaper to pay in the hotel itself. Some problems getting into the hotel at the back
Location: The streets nearby were quiet at night but it was not a far walk to bars and restaurants.
We were unhappy with our already chosen hotel in Paignton so were keen to find one in Plymouth as we were sightseeing in the area and we could settle in faster than heading back to a different hotel in Paignton. Found this at an ok rate given that it was a bank holiday weekend so took the double room. We asked for a quiet room and the man at reception put us on the top floor and there was no noise from nearby rooms or along the corridor. While closing the curtains one set fell, we called down to reception to report this and then again 20 minutes later. The person who had allocated us the room arrived and apologised that the initial call had not been passed on, after fixing the problem he offered us complimentary breakfast vouchers as breakfast was not included in the room rate.

Very good hotel, easy reach of the town center.Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: Hotel needs a drop off and pickup area. Free car park facilities should be provided, likewise a refrigerator in the rooms would not go amiss.
Stayed one night, very comfortable, quiet and clean hotel. Very good breakfast, will certainly go again.

Nice two nights during the trip to South CoastPosted Jun 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room in the 7th floor was nice an clean. Very good location close to the harbor. The bed was comfortable albeit not very large. Clean bathroom though not too high water pressure from the shower. We had to ask to tune the room temperature from the nice people in the reception. Parking worked well in the garage beside the hotel. Spacy breakfast room with standard choices. Would we stay again? Probably yes.

Good for city centre visit. If you have a room at the front of the hotel you can't leave the window open, as the traffic noise is quite loud.

You know what to expect from Jury's Inn - lovely clean room, comfy bed clean bathroom, good facilities. However, room was a bit warm, so had to leave window open (not a problem really) and had to ask for extra towels. I would have preferred Costa coffee to be positioned with the buffet breakfast, instead of having to go to the bar area and wait to be served a Costa coffee, and take it back to the breakfast area.
