Great Hotel in spectacular surroundings.Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: In addition to the excellence shown above there was a relaxed friendly rapport amongst the guests and proprietors. Walking boots and dogs were welcome
Cons: Every thing was to our complete satisfaction
Location: Excellent walking and stunning scenery in Exmoor National Park and coastal path.We ran out of time so will need to return.
From the moment of our arrival late in the evening we were made to feel welcome and that nothing was too much trouble The food was excellent and locally sourced where possible. Evening meals were available to order at very reasonable cost, with an imaginative menu. Individual requirements were accommodated without fuss. Access was available at all times of the day and night. The room was spacious, well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable. All off this was at a reasonable price. Words cannot express the satisfaction we feel with regards to our stay at Lorna Doone House.

A great B&B in a wonderful locationPosted Feb 25, 2014
A very welcoming B&B in a stunning setting alongside the river with a nice little riverside walk to the main village centre. Perfect for a walking holiday as did not need car - lots of lovely walks from the B&B front door. Great owners and lovely room. Highly recommend.

Hostess very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good. Pleasant outlook by the river and a very short walk to local amenities. We stayed out of season. Overall good value for money and would recommend.

Super, welcoming, convenient for walks and seaPosted May 10, 2012
This was a superb stay in a fantastic adn convenient setting by the river, with great walks from the door. Thoughtful provision for all needs, right down to the sewing set and bath robes in the room, wi-fi available and all-day acccess to the room which helped in the west country weather. Excellent standards of provision in the room. Flexible, welcoming hosts. Evening meal available (although I didn't sample it). Highly recommended and I look forward to returning.
