Fee level reflects to the standardPosted May 27, 2014
The Hotel staff was very kind and friendly but we met only one staff who might be owner. This was our challenge to seek any possibilities to find good hotels even its fee level lower than average but rating is high. But it is hard to say that it is recommendable hotel to my firends.

Quaint Old HotelPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: The staff and breakfast.
Cons: The general state of decor and the fixtures and fittings needs to be uplifted.
Location: The city of Plymouth is a few miles away, and the George Inn is a short distance away, where they serve an excellent carvery for only £5.99 per head.
On arrival we were made welcome and given assistance with our luggage. The building was quite old and this was reflected in the standard of the decoration and fittings all of which could benefit from an update, The on-suite was small and had no where to hang damp towels. The room was at the rear of the hotel and did not suffer from noise from the main road at the front. The breakfast was excellent (although the "fresh" orange juice was processed). The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Home from home type of stay. Comfortable surroundings with friendly staff who were eager to please. We have no complaints and would definitely stay there again.

Roadside hotel with characterPosted Jul 11, 2012
Pros: Convenient for Plymouth and area
A roadside hotel with a bit of character and would probably have looked even better without pouring rain! Room basic but pleasant, the four-poster was a double bed with uprights but my wife liked it. Did not use the restaurant or bar but the breakfast was freshly cooked with a good variety of cereals and fruit as well. Nice outlook into the garden and in better weather the decking area would have been a nice facility.
