Loved this hotelPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff at this hotel could not have been friendlier or more courteous. They are a truly great team and I really hope that we can get back there some time soon.

RelaxingPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The disappointed of finding out it didn't have a swimming pool was soon overcome. With a welcome from the staff which was second to none. The Resturant is not to be missed the whole stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I can't believe Torquay can have a better hotel, one of the best I've stayed in and we stay in over 100 hotel rooms a year.

An absolute Gem!Posted Jun 9, 2013
We absolutely loved staying here; the welcome was warm, all the staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable, and the food was just excellent. We felt that we were staying in someone's country home, rather than in an hotel, such was its individuality. The collection of pictutes and other objects all around made it really unique, in our view. Probably the nicest hotel we have stayed at.

quaint, but not the latest in real 'Boutique'.Posted Apr 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
nice enough small, basic country house. Clean and comfortable. Rooms from yesteryear. Food: Good menue, but main course a bit tasteless.

A super hotel, lovely room, great food & servicePosted Feb 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Faultless stay, excellent efficient and friendly service at all points (nothing was too much for them), lovely room with a great view, great food in the restaurant (good value too), all in a superb stay. I stay away once or twice a week, this rates as one of the best ever.

Thoroughly Recommended!Posted Sep 25, 2012
Pros: The tranquility, friendly and efficient staff, and quality of food
Cons: Leaving it!
Location: Very peaceful and relaxing, well away from the hussle and bussel.
We found the staff friendly and helpful from start to finish. We had a first class cream tea in the afternoon and later dined in the restaurant and had a fantastic meal. Even the check out was made to be an enjoyable experience!
