Pros: the price what we paid was over the top ie 75 pounds per night.
Cons: early start for breakfast.telephone in the rooms
Location: plymouth is a vibrant city
the hotel was reccomended to us by a friend.we booked two double beds but got two singles.there was no telephone in the room.we had to wait for hot water in the morning about ten minutes before it got hot totally unacceptable.breakfast in the morning did not start till 0930.the breakfast was satisfactory.

Nice room - just what we neededPosted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: Space in the room and friendly staff.
Cons: Being fussy - I would prefer a more firm mattress.
Location: Close to Dartmoor and Plymouth.
Spacious room with good decor and lovely new bathroom. Very friendly staff. Huge breakfast. Good location for us as visiting family nearby.

Pub well placed for variety of local attractionsPosted Oct 27, 2014
Cons: Only the shower
Location: Pub located on the very edge of Dartmoor, providing a very good base for walking. It is also close to the city of Plymouth with all its attractions.
Very well kept pub accommodation. Room to a very good standard and well equipped. Its one and only slight defect being the shower which could be slightly awkward to work. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the food is of a very high standard. Had two very good meals in the pub restaurant. I would gladly recommend this to others as a place to stay.

A good find.Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Pleasant and very clean room and bathroom. Very good evening meal and super breakfast.
Cons: Decaf coffee on hospitality tray!
Location: On edge of Dartmoor so lovely walks close by, close to Plymouth or Exeter. Interesting reservoir only 5 minutes away.
Stayed one night on way to Cornwall. Had a very good and well priced evening meal. Friendly and helpful staff. The owners are lovely and gave us lots of local information. Room was comfortable with a very well fitted bathroom. Just a few moans! Had to close window as room over looked kitchens and smell of cooking wasn't very pleasant, we will go again but will ask for a different room. Hospitality tray in room but no decaf coffee although I'm sure if we had bothered to ask they would have provided us with some. There was a beer festival being held the following evening and live music is a regular feature, sadly we missed out on this but will look forward to returning, owners are very thoughtful and advise guests in advance of any functions also it seems music stops at 11pm to avoid upsetting guests.

Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Food was very good and service was fast - unusual in most places today. Great hospitality. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Extremely pleasant - everything I wantedPosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have stayed here previously for 20-30 nights (spread over about 3-4 months) and was pleasantly impressed then as I was on this stay. ROOM - very good; FOOD - very good (and a varied choice (everything fresh - ok - except possibly the chips - ok); ATMOSPHERE - relaxed, non-intrusive and pleasant; LOCATION - a short (and pleasant) drive from Plymouth) and even better access to Tavistock, Princetown and the rest of Dartmoor;...OVERALL - I have seen this hotel 'through the seasons' and it continues to please after a typical drive from London..

Cute inn on the moorPosted Jun 26, 2014
Had a lovely stay for the night. Arrived to a lovely welcome and long chat at the bar and then we were shown to our room. Lovely although on the small side with a more than spacious bathroom! Dinner was excellent, the lasagne and pie were so good. We checked out early so didn't get a full breakfast but overall had a good nights sleep!

The Burrator Inn was lovley. I stayed for 1 night and the room and bathroom was clean, the food was good and the staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. As I had travelled by foot from Yelverton along the road which had no footpath, the owner dropped me back the following morning to ensure my safety for which I was very grateful. A lovely stay and a beautiful location, not too far from the Burrator Reservoir.
