Good overnight stopPosted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Locals very friendly as were staff.
Cons: Parking could be an issue when its busier but did not affect us.
Location: Exeter nearest main attraction.
Arrived between Christmas and New Year en route to South Devon so quite quiet. Food was 3 * pub food with helpful staff. Kitchen is unusually on 1st floor and we did get a hint of chip smeech / smell in our room. Silverton is a pleasant Devon village.

Good VenuePosted Nov 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
One of the best pub B&Bs I've stayed in. Good food and drink. Staff very friendly and welcoming. It did appear closed when I arrived at 5.30 p.m.

Quaint, clean and friendlyPosted Sep 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Beautiful place to stay, lovely and quiet yet a lovely atmosphere in the bar downstairs. We used the silverton as a stop off between destinations, lovely and clean hotel with lovely meals! Highly recommended!

Comfortable inn set in lovely countrysidePosted Aug 15, 2014
I booked this thinking it was in Fore Street, Exeter and the map on Expedia definitely indicated this. I think this has now been rectified. It was a little further to travel each day to Sidmouth Folk festival, but very comfortable and tranquil.

Pleasant place with friendly staffPosted Jul 26, 2014
Booked and pre paid via Expedia the night before however staff may have been confused and thought Expedia was booking confirmation only and charged us again on departure. End result was we were double charged and only realised the following evening. However it was quickly resolved by the owner with only a couple of emails. Food and staff very good but parking could be a problem. We were lucky and got a park right across the street but a car park is available with a short walk. Accommodation ok but it is an older place with low headroom in places and shared bathroom.

Convenient for visiting Exeter UniversityPosted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Top quality en suite room
Cons: Very little
Location: Traditional Devon thatch village and proximity to Exeter city park & ride
We discovered that Monday was steak night with chips & trimmings from £6.95, washed down with well kept Cornish Tribune beer! With a different theme most evenings we'll have to try pie night next time!
