The property is very central to the seafront and restaurants. Parking was a complete nightmare with cars left abandoned everywhere so chose to park offsite a couple of minutes away. Over half the price to park on site and easier as well. The facilities were clean and tidy (a little worn/dated) and the room was well presented. The issue we had was how hot the place was. We had the window fully open (January) and we still never used the covers. We had a particularly uncomfortable night due to the heat in the room (and we switched the radiator off). The general Spa facility was ok if you wanted a swim and sauna as well. Overall not bad value for money

Having 5 hotels in the same group use the same facilities has its advantages and drawbacks. Cheaper yes busy very ! Swimmers would love the pool and small children can swim in the smaller pools. Always book direct as you get better perks.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have an on going programme of refreshment and refurbishment. Our breakfasts are served buffet style and normally prove very popular with our guests as they can choose exactly what they want to eat.

Great staff and service. Very clean, but could with refurbishing all the bedrooms including the bathrooms. Some of the carpets in the corridors downstairs need replacing and repainting. The room we were given was not the picture shown on their website.

The room was dated and the fan we were provided for some form of circulation for our room was unsafe - the cover was held together with an elastic band. On two occasions when being provided with fire safety procedures the group were informed in case of emergency we should run out via the nearest exit. On one occasion no wet floor sign was provided for a recently mopped floor in a communal toilet area. We were always two of the first people to breakfast and on two occasions informed there were no croissants available as the delivery had not come yet.

They need to upgrade or get new mattresses. Ther matterss is total springs. very uncomfortable. Every morning woke up stiff and pains.. very disapointed with the beds which is the main thing people book hotels it to get a good stay and sleep. Overal staff were good nite security guy was a very humble lad. On site spa and leisure was good apart from steam room hardly steaming up but yeh all good apart from the beds and sleep

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are a large complex and until you get to know us it can be difficult to find everything despite the signage we have. We do have a Resort Map available that helps customers fin their way around. Printed copies can be requested from reception.

Great holiday
Excellent customer service and food in the restaurant. Bedroom was lovely and bright and airy but bed very uncomfortable with springs. Was given a mattress topper after complaining which made a big difference. We've stayed at TLH three times now and love it but hotels need painting and modernising, looking quite dated.

Pleasant hotel. Hotel very dated and the rooms could do with a refurb. However, tidy and bedding was clean. We slept well. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The outdoor pool area and bar/restaurant were fab, with the weather being so nice we felt like we were abroad. Kids enjoyed the indoor heated pool too which were clean and a decent size. A few minute walk to the seafront. Plenty of parking across sites £10 for 24 hours which was handy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Lovely friendly hotel
Absolutely fantastic stay. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Food excellent. Staff friendly. Only one negative is that you have to serve yourself for evening meal no waitress service and when i stay in a hotel i do like to be waited on in the restaurant.

The hotel itself is very dated and tired, and appears to mostly cater for pensioners, however the facilities were fantastic for our family trip. My 3 and 6 year olds loved the indoor swimming pool complex and the arcade, both were excellent. The location is about 10 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk from Torquay marina

The staying started bad by having limited to no parking, we had to go around twice to find a parking spot. There were no towels in the room when we got there, we had to go to reception and ask for some. The reception persons were all in a bad mood throughout our stay and were doing the minimum function. The breakfast we got was decent, and some staff were helpful, you could see they were really trying and quite busy helping restock. However, when prompted to help us with some croissants, they went to check if the kitchen is still open and never came back with an answer. While still having coffee with a fully buttered toast, a staff member came to clean up. It felt as though they were kicking us out despite other patrons being in and it wasn’t around closing time, with plenty of other free tables. Overall we wouldn’t recommend, awful parking, decent pool, unfriendly staff.

Thank you for your feedback. We have 7 car parks with 296 spaces which over the Easter bank holiday weekend were very busy. Alternative parking is available in very close proximity to the hotel.I am sorry you felt rushed during breakfast service and our team to be unfriendly. Please rest assured we will monitor this closely as it is unusual feedback for us to receive.

As with all TLH properties the rooms and buildings are in desperate need of renovation, however, the rooms are large and comfortable, beds comfortable. The staff are excellent and the breakfast is always of excellent quality. We've never had the evening meals but they always look excellent. The facilities on site are second to none, pools and steam room etc, bowling facilities and snooker tables etc.

Everything was very good all round. Not worried about having the apartment serviced but had trouble getting toilet roll soap etc... ever aksed the cleaner to drop some inside the door . She said she would and then didn't. Had to go to reception. When i saw her the next day she ignored me. About from that small thing Everything was very good. No complaints.

Car parking at hotel was a bit challenging. It may be wise to consider travel by train ... Could easily walk between hotels and facilities using the internal walk ways. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice crisp white table cloths. Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Excellent selection of teas and machine made coffees after meals Room comfortable with shower over bath and tea & coffee making facilities. Great live band for the evening dances!

Just stayed here hotel needs a makeover .pool was nice coudnt sit by outdoor pool as always full no sunbeds .tables outside werent cleaned was food left on tables and glasses .also there was a young boy cleaning the indoor pool while people were swimming in it.coudnt they do this when pool was closed.breakfast was very tasty . No parking spaces either .

Parking was a problem as its a big hotel and only a limited number of free parking spaces. You could park opposite at leisure centre for £10 for 24hr or there were a few streets a 5 minute walk away for free. Check in was smooth. Room was ok, we had a sea view which was nice but windows were so dirty inside and out that it spoilt that view. We had to ask for extra pillows as only one each on arrival but that was quickly rectified by Reception staff. Towels and bedding were clean and fresh. Breakfast was ok, its buffet style. Sausages were cheap and tomatoe sauce was nasty. All the staff in restaurant were very nice though and would get anything you asked for quickly. The Swimming pool itself was pleasant but changing rooms were in need of a hose down and the poolside surround was covered in gritty sand so was unpleasant to walk on so recommend taking flip flops. The drink prices in the bars are ok and the food served in Alberts bar was very tasty. Evening entertainment was exceptional and fun. The games room is well equipped and would keep kids entertained for hours. Overal happy with our stay.

The bed didn't seem like a Double and the mattresses where to hard and pillows to softed on Double and single beds. Dinner restaurant we could not get into for Dinner or breakfast.

the property and the amenities are great..also the staff at the information specially Gosia is really awesome..but people at alberts restaurant is very very annoying and no manners..and the food is not nice..we ordered bread for starters and 2 steaks for main..and they serve the main dish before the starters..plus the fact that before they serve the food they informed us that they don't have anymore steak knife coz it's been delivered to the kitchen or whatsoever..we understand about the steak knife but serving the main dish before the starter??we talked to the staff at the restaurant nicely asking for our money back coz we told them we're eating the mains already that's y we don't want the starter..but this young lad staff has a very poor manners..i feel sorry for him coz he never learned the most important thing in life..in fact he blamed us that we never informed them that the bread is for starters..but the truth is me and my husband both said it's for starters..and he keeps telling us that it's our fault..and he even lied to us so many times when we said we want to tlak to the manager..he said also his not gonna give our money back coz it's not their fault..and he keeps mumbling on the side..i don't think we will ever eat there again if we come back to that hotel..the fact that their food is not nice..😥
