“Ideal stay in Dijon”

Spent 1 night in Dijon from travelling back from Nice, and ideal stop over. The hotel was easy to find and 10 min walking distance to the old town, which was fabulous and some great restaurants. There was secure underground car parking. Hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel was modern and clean. I would definitely use this hotel again, and would consider going back for a weekend.

“Good quality hotel”

I was really impressed with this hotel. I was just stopping over on the way from Nice back to the UK so only had a brief stay, but really liked everything I saw. The staff were friendly, the car park convenient, the room was very comfortable and the room service dinner good quality. Also, I thought the price was totally fair. Well recommended.

“Mercure Dijon - watch out for the breakfast!”

This hotel is within walking distance to the town centre, so for that it gets brownie points. However, the room was very hot and the air con didn't cool it down, so we had to open the windows completely. Luckily it wasn't too noisy. the most disappointing thing was nobody explained the breakfast system, we we assumed the tokens we were given meant breakfast was included, so were surprised to be landed with a bill when we checked out. For anyone who doesn't check details of what they have booked carefully - be aware!

“modern central hotel with helpful staff”

Nice hotel that is well situated with nice helpful staff. Very good value for money. the barman was very helpful with superb suggestion for evening meal in restaurant called L'escargot.

“Great hotel but beware the breakfast”

Great chain hotel and great location but the road works are on going for a long time. Also beware of the breakfast as it is very expensive and not good at all and don't be fooled by the vouchers you get at check in. I thought they were for a free breakfast but were used to charge me for the breakfast when I went in the morning. Totally my fault but very sneaky as well. The breakfast is poor anyway and very expensive so go to the cafe's around the corner. Room was sound proofed no problem to the road works but I was next to the lifts and I did hear them when just relaxing in my room but it did not affect my sleep but just in case do not stay in 114.

“Great for the single businessman”

Street signs all travelers by auto to find the hotel. It is very modern, and parking is available on site. The staff were outstanding. The rooms were too small for a tourist's comfort.

“A good hotel”

We stayed here (2 adults, 2 kids aged 4 and 6] on our way back from the med.The room had a double bed and a sofa which converted to 2 singles.The hotel was relatively easy to find and the staff friendly.We had a little trouble parking in the underground car park as it is very tight and the height restrictions meant we could only fit our car with its roof box in a disabled place.Our room was clean and comfortable and had a kettle.We didn't eat in the hotel, choosing to walk the 15 mins in to town. Dijon itself looked lovely and we felt we could return to explore further another year. The children had a quick dip in the outside pool too.Would return.

“Not impressed”

While the hotel itself was physically perfect and new, the fact that the front staff were surly and not helpful would not encourage me to return. The map they gave us was terrible and we kept walking in circles during our visit to Dijon. I was warned that there is construction throughout most of the town as they install streetcar tracks, it made it difficult to get out of the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I didn't feel safe walking back to the hotel in the dark after dinner as the neighbourhood seemed rough.

“A good hotel in a good location”

We used this hotel as a stop over en route from Calais to Sete. Dijon is pretty much slap bang in the middle and this hotel is easy to find and get to from the motorway. We have previously stayed in another Mercure and the Dijon hotel was far better - rooms were modern, comfortable and clean, there was also free parking under the hotel. There are a lot of roadworks going on around the hotel as Dijon builds a new tram system but no noise in our rooms. NB when the hotel provides you with a voucher for breakfast this is not a 'voucher' as we would know it - we took the voucher to breakfast the following morning and were then surprised to be charged for it when we checked out. Needless to say we said we were unhappy as we were given a voucher, assuming it was for breakfast not to merely have a seat in the restaurant - the hotel relunctantly refunded the amount charged.

“Good modern hotel in Dijon.”

Lovely new hotel about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town. Good restaurant. Wonderful barman. Good reception staff. The rooms are large, bathrooms lovely and modern. Decoration of the room very nice.
