Awesome location on the river.Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: View and Staff
Cons: Parking lot due to construction.
Location: Kostas Restaurant and Innovation brewing are great.
Nice place. I would stay again. They are in the middle of renovations, so part of the parking area was taken up by the construction stuff. The rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel staff was excellent. You cannot walk to a restaurant or bar.... but they are in driving distance.

Nice hotel close to CherokeePosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: The remodel, the staff, the view
Cons: Bigger beds
Location: Cherokee casino, fantastic tavern food at the irish bar down the street.
This hotel was hard to find, but once we did it was nice. Its on the river and makes for great sunset and sunrise. The only thing we didnt care for is we booked it on expedia and it did not give us or tell us the size bed. The room was amazing and modern(they are currently remodeling) but the bed was a queen. That wouldnt detour me from staying here, I just would have liked to know. They have the typical microwave breakfast, but they did have a waffle and pancake maker so that was nice. We were only there 2 days, but it was a nice stay. The staff was nice, the room was cleaned every morning.

Quiet position by riverPosted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Helpfulness of staff.
Cons: Need to let clients who book in advance that premises being refurbished.
Location: Quiet, overlooking river.Main street about 400 yards away. Not much to do in town but good gateway to Smokies and for exploring other towns.
Hotel was being renovated.Workmen started about 10am but did not finish until about 8pm. Stayed in refurbished room which still had strong smell of paint, plastic sheeting on floor to balcony,no towel rail/toilet roll holder. No baseboards to corridors. Staff at front desk very helpful and apologetic.

Stay away till renovations donePosted Jun 12, 2015
The hotel, which we have stayed at many times before, is being renovated. It is in sad condition right now. I would recommend staying away until the facilities are back up to par.

Quiet, Right on the River, BeautifulPosted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: The location, the price, the friendly professional staff, the quality of the establishment.
Our check in was easy. I never saw the housekeeping staff. The staff at the front desk were great. Very friendly and informative. The entire hotel is going through upgrades and renovations and you can tell by the unfinished work that you see on the walls and the smell of paint, new carpet, plaster that was very heavy in the hallways but you didn't smell it in the rooms. We had a king suite with Jacuzzi (3rd floor-315). There was a French door to the balcony that overlooked the river. It was beautiful. We slept with the door open with the sheer curtain across the opening at night so we could hear the river. So soothing. The room was very nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything worked. The hot breakfast was delicious. Pancakes, waffles, egg omelets, sausage, bacon, biscuits, bagels, fruit, cereal, muffins, juice, coffee. We ate out on the balcony at one of the patio tables with an umbrella. There were rocking chairs everywhere :)

Hidden surprisePosted Jun 6, 2015
next to the river makes this hotel a great stay ... We stayed during updates however updates are very modern and better than we expected ... A room with river view on first level is worth the extra dollars

Serene views with good locationPosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: The complementary breakfast was excellent. Fresh waffles, pancakes, sausages and Egg and cheese omelets. Fast WiFi. Courteous staff
Cons: The place is getting a little long in the tooth, but they are renovating so the future looks bright.
Location: Harrah's Casio, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Cowee Ruby Mine
Stayed here when visiting the Harrah's, Bryson City area. The location was within 15 minute of everything we wanted to see and the price was right. It was a little chilly to truly appreciate the Tuckaseegee river flowing below the balcony, but it's constant rushing made for refreshing moments when you just stopped, listened and appreciated the view.

Love this hotel.Posted Apr 13, 2015
I really like this hotel. It is so peaceful and is like a vacation in itself. I love to sit on the balcony and look out on the river, or eat breakfast on the patio looking at the river. The breakfast is good (except the sausage, stick to bacon) and the lady that is working the breakfast area is super nice and friendly and will tell you about some nice things to do in the area. The only issue I had was that when I called to tell them that I would be checking in after midnight the lady working the front desk said 'let me check on that, there may be a charge'. What ???? Never heard of that before. I was able to check in without issue and there was not an additional charge.

Very disappointed.Posted Apr 12, 2015
Location: Nothing, awful restaurants.
Construction going on when we got there, didn't stop for 2 hours. Noisy kids running in the halls at night, uncomfortable bed. Nice stream running behind hotel, old trains and equipment in front.
