Very nice, would stay again

Posted Mar 29, 2015
We stayed at this resort 16 years ago and were satisfied then. They have made many improvements since then and I would definately recommend and stay again. The kids loved the resort and the pool activities were a plus. Only word of advice, if you do the timeshare tour, they say it's 90 minutes and it ended up being 4 hours (in guessing the 90 mins was if you said yes right off the bat), but overall, would recommend.

My best vacation ever.

I have to say the experience in this place was unforgettable, pretty much the best resort in Kissimmee.

Great family hotel!

There were always activities taking place around the pool every day. The mini put, basketball court and tennis courts were a real hit with all of us. Our room was exceptional with all the amenities we could ask for and lots of room to spread out.

More of a time share resort than hotel

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The kids mini golf, pool, bounc house, paddle boats...
Cons: Make it more like a hotel for the non-time share people, business travelers don't bring a lot of things like soap with them. They expect it there.
Location: It was close to quite a few resturants and not too far from Disney.
The ammenities were nice, especially for kids. The pool and little store on premise was good. I did not expect to be immediattely pressured into attending a 90 minute presentation I assume for a time share opportunity. They did not furnish any soap for the hotel room and did not plan to help with towels or garbage unless you stayed more than 7 days. I only stayed 5 so had to call to ask. They were quick to help with a couple of necessities though. It was okay, but would probably try somewhere else next time.

Everything extra money

No housekeeping, you have to pay extra even to have towel. This is not luxury resot, it's only medium low class resort.

Nice place to stay!

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: Rooms well appointed, several activities to choose from.
Cons: Drink prices
We stayed for 2 nights mid week in March during our Spring Break. We were very happy overall with our stay. We got a 3 bedroom unit for 2 adults and 4 kids. One of the kids stayed on the pullout in the smaller unit, and the 3 boys stayed in the other room (one on an inflatable mattress) so they could be together. The 3 bedroom unit is actually a deluxe unit and a one bedroom unit put together. The units were well equipped with plenty of towels and anything you may need in the kitchen. The beds were pretty comfortable. The property has great amenities. We took full advantage of the pool. To be honest I don't think the pool is quite large enough for the size of the property, at least the seating. I would not want to stay there during peak season. The first day we had to sit at the bar (which was totally fine by us), but those going to sunbathe may not be happy. Just go early to be assured to get a chair. We also played mini golf and rented a basketball which was great. We ordered food from the little store there for a couple of meals. It was surprisingly good and we thought for a resort, very reasonably priced. The bar service was pretty good, but of course the drinks were definitely overpriced, without much alcohol added. Take advantage of buying the drink in a special cup for $15. The refills in the cup are only $9.00. Overall we had a great time, and would definitely consider staying there again.

Good for the night.

Resort grounds were very pretty and staff was very nice in our limited experience with them (we only stayed one night). We had 2 units that opened to one another. The air conditioning only worked on one unit. When we called the front desk to get assistance they told us there were several guests needing assistance in front of us and it would be a while. It was 10:00pm already, so I told them just to forget about it since we had to check out at 10am. Furnishings were dated, but the two units combined provided a lot of space for the 8 of us to stretch out. Also, unit was advertised as 3 bedrooms, but the third BR was actually a kitchenette with a pullout couch. Also, there were no curtains (only blinds) so the lights in the hallways shone into two of the BRs all night. Overall, staff and amount of space were nice, but I don't feel it was worth what we paid.

Hubby and I needed a quick, three-day getaway and Star Island delivered! Rented a one-bedroom suite. The large, jetted tub helped us to relax, and the fun activities at Star Island helped us to get our grooves back! A great way to inject some fun and relaxation into a vacation!
