A taste of the old west

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Location: Dodge City Raceway. And the Old West muesems.
Clean, comfortable rooms with a friendly staff. Indoor pool area with a large Old West area and wildlife dioramas. Great for families. Not your corporate cookie cutter design.

Great family motel

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Expedia
Cons: Needs some updating carpet, paint and minor upkeep
Location: casino, old dodge city and sports complex
Good motel for kids great entertainment for them overall motel is good. My only problem is I booked online for one rate and when I checked out they charged me at a higher rate. The clerk shuffled papers for about 10-15 minutes and said she could not find it I told her that was ok if they needed the money that bad and that I would not be back. She asked if I was sure and I replied I am sure I will not be back. Her attitude was that it was ok if they lost customers.

Would NOT Come Back

Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: Indoor pool and spa, arcade and activities, lots of Old West memorabilia. Clean facilities.
Cons: The only ice and vending machines were on the main floor. We were on the second floor in the back.
Location: Historical district. Boot Hill and Museum, old frontage road that included the Long Branch Saloon (Miss Kitty's Place!)
Booked through Expedia. The room we booked did not exist. We were supposed to have an in-room hot tub but were downgraded to a room with 2 queen beds. We were charged $35.00 more than the Expedia price we agreed to pay. We ordered room service, which was prompt and the food was excellent! Because it's off-season, the restaurant was only open 6-9 AM and 5-8 PM. The "free" breakfast was a small buffet of pancakes, eggs, biscuits, gravy, potatoes, bacon, and burritos. Milk and soda not included. When we arrived at 8:38 A.M., no one was there. The hostess came in a few minutes later to tell us they were closing at 9:00. When we left shortly before 9 AM, the hostess followed us to the door and locked it behind us. I felt the staff didn't care about the hotel, or us. We don't have the means to do this often, so I was really disappointed.

Great For Family!

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: It was really roomy and close to downtown activities.
Cons: Looks like the ceiling could use a new paint job. But other than that its great!
Location: We were relatively close to city attractions and local restaurants. Its on the main street there so it makes things really easy.
We enjoyed the stay. Our kids loved the pool and the activities that were available. The over all lay out of the facility was confortable. Would recommend to anyone with kids.

Unique, about what you'd expect in remote Kansas

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The location is great, an easy drive to most Dodge City attractions.
Cons: The public areas are showing wear, pealing paint and worn carpets
The hotel is easy to find, the rooms were clean and our's were recently updated, but the public areas are a bit run down.

Dodge House stay

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Great stay. Probably needs updating, but we didn't care. This place has everything you'd need for a stay w/kids. Pool, hot tub, video games, pool table, basket and volleyball. Plus water volleyball. Great fun!

Close to casino and old downtown

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: Old west style decor and artifacts
Cons: Tried to place an order over the phone with the restaurant and only got a busy signal for 30 minutes.
I would highly recommend getting a room that's not behind the indoor basketball goal as it is hard to sleep when someone is playing.
