Airport pickup and location are a bonusPosted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: Free airport shuttle, wi-fi, friendly staff, free breakfast, nearness to souk.
Cons: Towels and shower tiling both showed their age. I couldn't figure out how to get the shower water warm, but that might be a personal problem.
Location: The hotel is about a five minute walk from the souk. I was too tired to bother trying to find anything else to do.
I had one night in Qatar on a layover, so I used Expedia to find a hotel. Since I am a young woman traveling alone, I really liked that they had an airport shuttle service, so I didn't have to try to deal with taxis. It's free too, although I couldn't tell from the website. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was a little old and nothing amazing, but it fulfilled the need.

Great budget optionPosted Apr 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
This place is perfectly located for the old city with the souq a very shoort walk away. The decor is very dated but the rooms are fine. The staff were extremely helpful, letting me check in early and arranging an airport pick up and drop off. I would stay here again.

OK HotelPosted Mar 30, 2014
I booked this hotel for a one night stay in Doha. I didn't want to spend too much, and this was one of the cheapest I could find. Even then, I expected a little more. The room was small and not that clean. The bed was not very comfortable. It was OK for the price, but not great.

Great servicePosted Mar 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel driver picked me up at the airport and was courteous and safe. The hotel was reasonably priced. The room was clean and had everything I needed to get a good night sleep. Room service was good and reasonably priced. The room was dated but serviceable, the only oddity was the window was duct taped to keep it closed, but being on the third floor I was not concerned with it being unsecured. I would have no problem with staying here again if I am able to pass through Doha again.

Purpose FulfilledPosted Jan 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
I had a 20 hour layover. The need was a bed to sleep and a hot shower. Both fullfilled with an additional bonus of free transportation to and from the airport and morning buffet breakfast. It was also walking distance to the Souq Waqif :the standing market", where I absorbed the culture while enjoying some kebabs.

Very good Doha hotel. Clean, quiet, well-managed, with friendly, courteous, polite, and helpful staff. Rooms are small but well-furnished and comfortable; many on upper floors have amazing views across waterfront to new city center's towers. Hotel is right across the street from giant Souq Waqif and only a few block from waterfront. However because of MAJOR CONSTRUCTION (entire area in front of hotel is being completely redone), walking to either involves circuitous route around and through heavy construction and traffic..

Ok. Tired hotel, but a good locationPosted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: price was right, location was conveneint
Cons: the place is old and tired!
Location: the market is nearby; islamic museum, central bank, parliament, cornice are a short walk away
The hotel has clearly seen much better days but I sort of knew this. The location was near the big market so it was an easy walk and my room had decent views of doha's skyline from across the bay. the place was a bit noisy with all the construction going on around the city.
