Good location???

Posted Mar 30, 2015
It is near to famous museum of Islamic art , souq waqif and Doha port. But now surrounding area is under construction everywhere. (Huge town is under re-construction) The road is closed due to construction. No near good restaurant. Illegal-looking taxis (without taxi mark with higher fare) But the hotel itself is not bad. (For taxi driver tell 'sofitel' instead of Mercure they don't know

Nice enough hotel, unfortunate location

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, nice (but smoky) bar.
Cons: Need to have stamps at the front desk.
Location: Islamic Art Museum is nearby, as are the fort, souks, and the cornice. National Museum is close, but still under construction.
The building is a bit dated, but the rooms were neat and clean. The pool was open but cold. The Jacuzzi was closed, as apparently was the sauna, and the exercise facility was meager. Staff was very helpful and cooperative, but the cleaning staff seemed unable to restock the room correctly. There is construction on two sides, which can make things noisy, but that is not Mercure's fault.

Ein renovierungsbedürftiges Hotel

Posted Mar 5, 2015

Next to a building site. 24 hour activity

Posted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: Location- short walk to the Souk. The staff are friendly and helpful
Cons: it needs refreshing and modernising
i will probably return when the building project has finished and the hotel has been refurbished.

very poor!

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Hotel is totally surrounded by building sites (who work night shifts!). Rooms were dated and overall gave the impression the building is the next to be demolished. There are so many nice hotels in Doha so definitely won't be staying here again. I have to mention though, the staff were lovely; friendly and helpful.

Hotel bruyant en ce moment.

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Personnel
Cons: Hotel vetuste
