nice house in a very small village, nice view.

Posted May 14, 2013
Pros: situation, calm, nice view, simple
Cons: indication on where to find the owner, where to find the house.
Location: Dominica beaches are there. Black sand beaches with coconuts and driftwood. Good place if you want to visit the north of Dominica.
nice house, old furnishing but clean. Very few hotels in the area, this one is correct. hard to find (no indication) but the village is small. close to very nice beaches among them the beach where pirates of the caribbean was made. one of the few beaches where you can swim in Dominica. Good place to visit the North of the island. Good information from the owner for spot to visit and road to avoid. Breakfast in the hotel in Calibishie is rather light.

Short visit to Seaview Apts. in Calibishie

Stayed only one night but wished we could have stayed longer. This was the end of a 2 week sail charter to Antigua, Guadeloupe and Dominica.

Great place to stay in Calibishie!

Pros: location, view, restuarant and helpfulness of staff.
Cons: You need a car to access the apartments which are high on a hill
Location: Calibishie is a lovely town on the northeast coast of Dominica. Great secluded beaches and friendly people.
These apartments are part of the Calibishies lodges and are about a 10 minute walk uphill from the lodges and restuarant. You need a car to get to them if you are not keen on a short but strenuous walk. The view is superb! The kitchens were minimally appointed and the can opener did not work well. I would stay in the lodges which also have kitchenettes and adjoin the restuarant, bar and pool. Staff is excellent.
