I took pictures of the plumbing, door, NON WORKING phone, unstable handicap shower chair. Even though we had reservations for an accessible room, the bathroom had a regular toilet, no stopper or flow filter on faucet in sink, the ACCESSIBLE shower was a regular bathtub with hand held shower head. The shower head could not be used as a regular shower because the head holder pointed the water flow at the wall rather than on the person using the shower. The door had a gap large enough to see movement outside the room. The closest working ice machine to our ACCESSIBLE room was almost the full length of the property away. The phone didn't work AT ALL-not the best thing for a handicapped person-irregardless of not being able to call the desk or outgoing, what if there were an emergency. The free breakfast had cereal and oatmeal, but NO milk, frozen waffles, packaged boiled eggs, but no bread for toast-only bagels. When we arrived for checkin, there was no one at the desk and it took several minutes before they came, even after I called out-I could hear them talking somewhere in the back. Once I made contact with staff member, she was very helpful and accommodating. All of the staff we encountered were helpful and courteous. I would say we deserve compensation for all the problems and also add that this was probably the worst experience we have ever had at a Choice property! We do expect to hear from the manager or corporate in regards to this stay.
