Lovely hotel, beautifully appointed.

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: It was perfect
Location: We only stayed overnight so sightseeing was not on our agenda, although the town nearby was quaint and interesting.
Luxurious hotel with great amenities. We really appreciated the bar/dining area with its Irish music and atmosphere. The food was excellent.

Lovely hotel

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Fresh clean rooms and lovely food and atmosphere in bar attached to hotel
Cons: Reception staff weren't as friendly or helpful as other hotels I've stayed in smiles welcoming etc
Location: Really brilliant and handy location. 2 minutes drive from letterkenny town centre with great shops.
Room was really lovely was pleasantly surprised. Very close to everything and brilliant bar attached to it with gorgeous food. Only had breakfast in hotel which had plenty of choice was just disappointed there was no potato bread and soda bread to have a proper Irish fry. Otherwise would really recommend this hotel. Rooms were fresh and clean and very comfortable. Definately book this if you want a nice stay close to everything

Lovely breakfast

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was just lovely. Room was spacious. Staff were very friendly especially lovely cleaner who gave us extra teabags. Also very good value.
Cons: Stayed in March, the temperature was down to freezing outside and the room felt cold. It was cozy in the bed though.
Location: Letterkenny is central to scenic areas of Donegal, it is a lively town with plenty of shops, bars, cafes. Near Glenveigh castle.
I stayed in family room for one night with my mother and daughter. Location was perfect for us as we were heading out of Letterkenny next morning travelling further north, it's a bit outside the town centre. The building itself is a bit dull from the outside but inside is lovely. Check in was quick and friendly. Our room was huge with 2 double beds and sofa bed and big bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. There were tea coffee facilities and flat screen multi channel tv. I didn't drink in the hotel bar in the evening but it looked good and busy. Our breakfast was included, it was a breakfast buffet, the selection was very varied. I had lovely porridge, fruit and some hot food, sausages, scrambled eggs, all delicious. We used the swimming pool, wasn't that big but it was grand for me and perfect for children. All in all a great break, wished I could have stayed longer.

stay at the clanree

Posted Mar 17, 2015
My room was on the second floor I was staying for 2 nights on the second night my room was so cold staff had to bring me up an electric blow heater they switch the heating off at night until 6am. Sunbed was broken but no signs or information to say so. Very confusing pool policy and again no information visable or available on this but a very helpful manager.

Excellent For wedding Reception

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff (especially at reception). Booking in was efficient and quick. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Food and drink well priced
Cons: Nothing really unless the hotel management can find some way of controlling the weather. But what more can you expect at the beginning of March.
Spent weekend at hotel as part of wedding party. The wedding reception was 1st class and the staff excellent. Food was lovely and plenty of it and time between each course was minimal.
