Ein super HotelPosted May 1, 2014 on Hotels.com

Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Staff.Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: The better question would be what didn't you like about this hotel?
Cons: The shower mounts are on the side wall which is very strange to me and also made it impossible not to get water on the floor during showers.
Location: close by everything.
The shower mount is very strange to me but not enough to take any credit away from this beautiful hotel with a great staff that will go out of their way to help you with anything. The food at breakfast is great and the restaurant food was also great. If you are a football fan you will like that you are directly next to the stadium. As for me it had something to do with me going to my first football game. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good quality hotel with excellent breakfastPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice including eggs, meats, cheeses, juices, hot drinks as well Ukrainian foods including delicious pancakes
Cons: More information about the area would be good, including options around transportation and the surrounding area and facilities.
Location: The hotel is next to the Donbass stadium, and not too far from the city centre. There are shops within walking distance including a large supermarket.
I spent four nights at the Victoria Hotel from 28-Nov-13 and enjoyed my stay greatly. The hotel has over 20 floors and the view from the 20th (where breakfast is served) is fantastic. The fact that breakfast was included made a huge difference and made for a much more comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was always nicely set out, fresh, and well-maintained. The hotel has good facilities including a gym, swimming pool, spa,and ATM. My room was nicely decorated and furnished, with an in-room safe, and was well-cleaned daily. I received a complimentary bottle of mineral water each day which was a nice touch and much appreciated after getting back to my room in the evening. When I mentioned that I was checking out early for my flight (before breakfast), reception provided me with a large bag of sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt, a pastry and a drink, which was another nice touch. The staff were helpful and polite although more information about the hotel, the surrounding area, and Donetsk would be good (including in English etc).

Nice accommodations, very congenial staffPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: See above
Cons: Nothing significant
Location: Great variety of nearby shopping areas and restaurants. Easy access to the airport. The largest soccer stadium in Europe is across the street.
The Victoria is a superior facility. The building itself, including the rooms, hallways, and dining areas are attractive, clean, and in good repair. It is clear that most problems receive attention as soon as they are identified. The staff is remarkable. During my stay there, I dealt with both front desk and restaurant personnel on two shifts, and without exception the staff members were personable, accommodating, and consistently made a genuine effort to help in any way they could to make my stay better. For instance, early in my stay, I needed to get a phone charger and to get a large amount of Ukrainian currency. It was mid-afternoon on a weekday, so it was a relatively slow time for the hotel staff, and, because they were aware that I did not know either Russian or Ukrainian, and was completely unfamiliar with Donetsk, the woman who was the shift supervisor allowed the bellman to go with me. The fact that he was there meant that the cab driver did not overcharge, and the bellman found a small shopping center less than a mile from the hotel where I could take care of everything I needed to do. The staff could have simply given instructions on my behalf to the cab driver, and I would have thought nothing of that - when I requested help, I certainly never expected anyone to go with me. All staff members made prompt, timely efforts to help with any request, and were always both courteous and friendly. The level of service was consistently extraordinary.

The best place to stay in Donetsk!!!!Posted Oct 29, 2012
Pros: Friendly staff!!
Cons: No concierge!!!!!!
Location: Great location
What a wonderful hotel. You are located very close to the Dombas Stadium and a great war memorial. The hotel is clean and ultra modern. If you are into tennis, swimming and bowling, this hotel has it all. The breakfast, included with you room, is top of the line and the restaurant allows you an amazing view or the city. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. English is spoken and it is easy to communicate with the staff. The experience of staying at this hotel has left we with a lasting positive impression of how a hotel should treat their guests

They care!Posted Jul 12, 2012
Pros: Surely SPA and swimming pool
Location: Nicely kept park around, very green area
Rare for Donetsk free wi-fi everywhere, great SPA and Sky bar with a view over football stadium of EURO 2012. English speaking friendly staff. Ideal location: 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes walking distance from the city center. Satellite TV in English, German and French in the rooms (Russian goes without saying). Really spacious rooms and bathrooms.

In general I am satisfied with Victoria Hotel.I do think though, that prices were almost doble because of the Euro-12 and this fact leaves bad aftertaste from the entire experience.
