Good European Style Hotel In BeijingPosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Good staff, helpful, clean, european style
Cons: Food options
Location: Very close to Beijing tourist spots such as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Short walk from malls etc, on top of a subway station.
This is a good hotel in the centre of Beijing, very close to tourist attractions. Taxi drivers in Beijing don't know any hotels, or they pretend not to, so make sure you print out your itinerary with the hotel telephone number on it. I took a screen shot of google maps with the hotel on it, they didn't understand, so just get them to call the hotel. Upon arrival the staff are friendly - quick to check you in and get you to your room. There are a couple of dining options in the hotel - one italian restaurant that requires booking, as they will just turn you away like they did to my wife and I, the other a very average jack of all type restaurant. Best bet is to go explore and eat elsewhere, you will get more bang for your buck as room service is very bad too. The hotel uses cheap shampoo's and shower gels - so take your own. The view out of the room is very nice and I would recommend this hotel if on a budget but wanting to have a good hotel. If you have a bit more cash to splash there is a Peninsula Hotel across the road - stay there.

fantastico hotelPosted Mar 2, 2015

Location: Wangfujing and some high-end shopping mall nearby, good to take a stroll around the hutongs close to the hotel.
Central location with easy access to taxi and subway, though a bit of far from major commercial sites. Got upgraded to executive room, lots of space and good room condition in general, but the air conditioning control doesn't work. Good breakfast and helpful staff in the executive lounge, reception and concierge. Good choice for both business and leisure.

Fantastic hotel in BeijingPosted Nov 19, 2014
Excellent all around! Location was fantastic (and right on top of the subway station) and the room was great too. The VIP combo deal with the flight ticket was also unbeatable. Very highly recommended!!! And the icing on the cake is that Morton's steakhouse is also in the hotel! However Morton's is not part of the hotel operation so the VIP discount on food does not apply to Morton's.

Luxury HotelPosted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: The executive lounge where food items are first class and service good not be bettered. The pool is very good and is little used.
Cons: The staff who try so hard to be helpful are hindered by their poor command of English. the hotel should organize basic language classes.
Location: Best location in Beijing. Within walking distance of main shopping areas and only 20 minutes on foot to the Forbidden City.
A superb hotel with almost all the facilities you could wish for. Strongly recommend that you book an Executive room with access to their lounge on Floor 17 which has very good views and a wide selection of food and drinks. Best views are from rooms looking towards the Forbidden City. The excellent location of this hotel and the proximity to other luxury hotels including Peninsular and Waldorf Astoria make it very suitable for business.
