Was disappointed that the dishwasher was broken. Our plan was to stay onsite. Which we did but having to wash dishes wasn’t a plan. I know it seems like a first world problem but it took away from our relaxation.

Thank you, Holly, for bringing this to our attention. All of the suites should have a drip style coffee maker unless it is a unit managed by the owner directly rather than the resort. If you could let us know which suite you stayed in, we will look into this further.

Easy check-in and check-out, with a great view of the lake. The hall way carpet was dirty and worn in Flagship building. Entry doors to units banged up at the bottom where kick plates were removed. Interior of unit, chipped paint on walls in various places should be touched up. Carrington restaurant great service and food.

My thoughts
For the amount of money it cost to stay at the property I thought there would be a few more extras. Examples: maybe some complimentary bottles of water, a complimentary light breakfast, detailed map of the walking trails around the complex. For everyone to have access to the common areas between the buildings. Instead large families or groups took them over and were very loud.

Loved every minute of it. Our room was impeccable. I would stay over and over and over again. Beautiful!!!! The food at the restaurant was also amazing and I’ve eaten at some high end restaurants. The shrimp scampi was outrageously good. My husband’s filet was perfect!

Disappointed with the second bedroom which was a tiny room with two single beds, far from ideal for a retired couple. Tiny bathroom was not impressive. Rest of the stay was fine.

Quiet and scenic place to stay.
Overall a good experience. Beautiful setting with the trees and water nearby. Room was comfortable with good amenities. Only small negative is that the room had sort of a musty smell, that seemed to linger the entire stay. You could get used to it, but it was definitely noticeable.

Great Getaway Resort
This resort has alot to offer. We took advantage of most everything from the small hike through the woods and property on their paths, to playing pickleball and shuffleboard on their well kept courts and using the hot tub. The room was dated but comfortable. We will definitely be back next year.

The grounds are in a beautiful setting. Our room was big and spacious however the decor was very outdated. Room spelled musty and the hallway carpet was dirty. The front desk people are very nice.

The resort has multiple indoor and outdoor pools. It has a nice walking path. It would be nice if they had vending machines in each building though.

The resort's setting was calm and relaxing. Loved the in-room extras (range, microwave, dishwasher, etc.). Nice fitness room and optional outdoor activities (walking path, courts, fire pit, etc)

Our specific unit was dated and very tired. It had the cigarette smoke odor as you walked in. The carpets were old matted down and stained. Needs some TLC and some updating to be truly desirable

Nice property off the main roads. Large suite, small bathrooms, outdated, but clean. Needs remodel and an updated look with new carpet in particular. A/C didn’t work very well, luckily nights were cool enough to open windows.
