“Can't Wait for Our Next Visit”
Beautiful old hotel with so much character. All the rooms are unique without the typical boring hotel furniture. Thick walls so it was very quiet at night. The staff was wonderful. We'll definitely be back. Want to try it out in the summer as well so that we can enjoy the awesome lake views.
“Super Friendly & Helpful Staff”
My wife and I met our good friends here for a weekend. Kewaunee was a good midway point between southern Ohio and northern Minnesota. The Kewaunee Inn proved to be a perfect meeting place. What a neat, old hotel. Entering the lobby takes you back in time. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. You do get your exercise if you have a third floor room since there is no elevator. The library served as a perfect location for our serious games of pinochle. In the evening the veranda hosted the epic battles. The Sunday brunch buffet, though small in size, was excellent in quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beverly especially went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely consider staying here again if we choose Kewaunee as a meeting place with our friends in the future.
“Beautiful Rustic Restoration”
This beautiful hotel has been restored to its full glory. The hotel is "haunted" so just a heads up. I had a sound night with no issues in my room and its almost literally a stones through from the lake. The rooms are spacious and the showers are tall enough for a 6'5 man to stand in without having to dip his head to get under the showerhead. small TVs are provided with Direct TV but there is no mini bar or fridge/kitchenette. The decor downstairs is old style and they have a nice bar attached. The breakfast isnt the most amazing but they have english muffins and juice and coffee and cereal so its pretty standard i guess. It was definitely worth stayng at. I highly recommend it.
“Had a delightful time”
While the building was old - three stories and no elevator, it was in excellent condition with a friendly, open, and "folksie" atmosphere. The room we had was comfortable, but the TV didn't seem to work, but that was no problem, we weren't on vacation to watch TV. We spent the evening relaxing in the lobby and the bar (didn't drink the alcohol though) and had a wonderful time visiting and kibbitzing with the other guests and local townspeople that stopped in for a refreshment. Highly recommend this experience to anyone that chooses to visit the Door County area.

“UNEXPECTED SURPRISE!!”
TRUE SMALL TOWN CHARM, and really great folks. We lovedit! Old remodeled charm. Be sure to ask about the Ghosts - We didn't see any, but great stories. The gals running it were absolutely great! The restaurant was fantastic and handled our group of 13 very well. The drinks and company at the bar were FANTASTIC too, no skimping on the booze here! Almost everything was much better than expected. There are two other motels in town, and some of our group stayed at one of them, but they all wished they had stayed here after we had them to dinnet at the restaurant. (TRY THE WALLEYE)
“We were taken back in time”
In every way the Kewaunee Inn exceeded our expectations. We love historic hotels, and that is why we selected it. The rooms were delightfully decorated and the lobby, library, tavern and dining area were comfortable in an early 20th century way. The service was very personal where the managers went out of their way to help us finish some business we hadn't anticipated needing to do while away from home. We were delighted from the moment we arrived to the time we reluctantly left. We could have spent another week!
“Very nice, grand hotel”
The Kewaunee Inn is a large, old but well-appointed hotel. The lobby is large and comfortable. The rooms had very high ceilings and all of the amenities. The internet didn't work. The breakfast was a little meager but ok.
“Overall this is a nice hotel.”
Very nice hotel. There were a few minor problems. Bathroom door did not lock. Hard wood floors.
“Great place if you are interested in history.”
In general, the room was quite adequate. The major drawbacks were in the bathroom. The tub did not drain well so you had to wait between showers. The toilet paper holder did not hold the roll. Every time you tried to tear the paper the roll came off and went flying across the room. We were impressed by the size of the room. The bathroom was very large. There was also something black on the shower head that could have been cleaned better.
