In need of a renovation
Nice area, definitely require a car to get to the hotel. Hallway carpets are very worn and dirty. The room had not been vacuumed before we checked in and is in need of painting and thorough cleaning. There is not a telephone in the room so if you have a problem you have to go to the front desk. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel was nice with large grounds, swimming pool. Food was excellent and room was great. One thing that was a shame was the condition of the tennis courts and some outdoor areas which are in need of some upkeep.

Unfriendly staff in a lockdown period
Unfortunately I booked my stay just before the total lockdown in Holland ,so use of the facilities like pool & gym,which was the reason I booked. All eating was in the room,but as prices was very high,we just took one breakfast,that wasn't very nice. We asked for just some cutlery later & was denied,which I think in those special circumstances where all restaurants are closed ,they could have been a little more accommodating. We just needed some cutlery. It was extremely warm in the room & we tried to turn the radiator down,but that didn't work,so we asked if there was some way they could controle the temperature in the room,but they denied any help. We opened the window at night,as we woke up with headache because of the heat. The receptionist & other people in charge by the restaurant were not very frienly. Fortunately the cleaning women were very sweet and friendly,that made the stay reasonable. If the other staff had been a bit more friendly and accommodating we would have been more happy,as this was very special circumstances,where you pay the normal price & not getting anything in return

Good place to stay for going around Arnhem.
The place is great. The service not so much, I had a couple of rude communication with some staff, and a couple of times wait too long for someone to offer help (at the restaurant and bar). Location is superb for families, so is the space. If only the service would be a little better and the rooms little updated, it would be a favorite place.

The hotel was in a great location to do all re required. The room was large but alittle dark and in need of modernising especially the bathroom. Staff were friendly checkin was swift, plenty of parking. We didn't use any of the facilities as we were out for the whole time of our trip, the entrance of the hotel is bright and airy which in fairness is the best part of the hotel that we saw, if only the rooms carried on that theme. Having said that was a pleasant stay and we would return.

Gill’s birthday holiday.
The hotel was amazing. Staff were very friendly with nothing too much bother. Never tried the outdoor pool but the indoor pool was lovely. Plenty to round about. Hired 2 e-bikes from the hotel and cycled into Arnhem and around the area. Ideal for cycling with many traffic free roads. Well worth the visit.

Nice hotel in good location
Hotel is set in some nice grounds, not too far away from the local town. Ample free parking. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Lobby, restaurant and bar all look great and modern. Rooms could do with a bit of TLC, our room was in need of some paint to make it look fresh again, but it was comfortable, clean and had everything you needed. Note, on our check out day, the rooms down the hall looked to be getting painted, so hopefully the rest will be too as this was the only thing letting the hotel down. WiFi is free, but on busy nights, it struggled with the demand. would be nice to be upgraded. I Would recommend a stay here, i will definitely stay if i'm in that area again

Rooms are old and tired, only main hall and reception looks proper. We are regular guests from years, it was called Golden Tulip before and the true is that nothing has changed since 10 years. But we have sentiment, and we like quiet location.

Needs updating, but good value for price. It was clean and staff very friendly. Rooms very small and bathroom could use some shelf space. What is with the purple velvet chairs and bubble lights? Enjoyed outdoor patio area near the pool.

Poor hotel room.
Pokey room. Terrible layout. Single bed against the wall one side, Door opening the other side. No room for a bed table. Pillows, two too big and one too small. Couldn't relax on the bed because of a badly positioned lamp. Nowhere for a toiet bag in the shower area. Shower doors too small, had difficulty getting in and out. Raised floor in the shower area asking for injuries to one's feet when using the WC in the night. No lift to the first floor.

Frustrating that as usual ironing facilities are a problem. This hotel chain in this area get a lot Of business travellers and the staff just don’t care to help facilitate ironing facilities. Alarms went off twice in one night. Poor hotel

Seems great, but fails to deliver
The reception make a great impression, but the rooms are a bit tired and go do with an update. The restaurant service was slow. We had a table reserved, however we were told twice to wait 5 minutes while the table was readied. The menu is limited, however the food was excellent. We were not aware that you have take your room towels to the swimming pool and that the lockers required 50 cent coin to use. It would be useful to have this information before going to the pool. Nice indoor pool without a shallow end, I.e not ideal for small children. Parking at the hotel was always busy and it seems normal for people to park across 2 spots. The parking bays were not very clear. Room temperature could not be controlled as there was no thermostat. No safe in the room either. I expected more from this 4 star hotel.

Lovely hotel in quiet surroundings but near places
We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The hotel is located in a quiet wooded area but we had our own car so could easily get to Arnhem, Nijmegen and Oosterbeek. Very friendly staff members in all parts of hotel. We had a lovely room where our 10 year old had is own room within our room. We used the pool on both days. Great start to our holiday.

We clearly booked a family room, for 3 people, yet when we arrived, the room was only made up for two people. It required speaking to reception, to get help, and when the extra bedding was delivered, the staff were rather surly. The room itself was not too bad, plenty of space overall. Breakfast was expensive and not particularly impressive.

Not one British tourist yet the area is great for walking in the summer. Many lakes but fishing needs a permit for the water and special exam certification ! However I am told that a uk licence taken to the town hall with 2 photos will suffice. Horse riding and sailing catered for. English is not widely spoken. Food tends to be the same everywhere.

Fantastic hotel. Great staff who were friendly, efficient and very helpful. My group were doing a charity bike ride from Dortmund, Arnhem, Utrecht and Rotterdam. The staff made our stay extra special by doing everything they could to make our lives very easy. Stored our bikes, arranged meals late in the evening etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended !

Overall our stay at the Hotel was enjoyable marred only by the restaurants refusal to cook an omelette in the evening for my wife who is gluten intolerant and there was very little on the menu that was gluten-free. The omelette is on the menu but is only available until 17:00, surely a bit of flexibility here would not go amiss?
