Nice people but needs a refresh!Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Owners and breakfast
Cons: Bedroom decor and maintanance.
Location: Very good, just across the road from the beach and 2 mins walk to town
Owners are very nice, but the B&B is tired, the room we were in needed re-decoration, there was steam damp on the bathroom ceiling and the windows wouldn't stay open. the decor was tired. I believe they are new owners and are planning to refresh it, the breakfast seems to be where they have prioritised, as the food was good and whole dining area was also...next stop the rooms!

Maiden stay at WeymouthPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Lovely breakfast in a sunny room facing the sea. Stylish listed building. Friendly hosts. Central location.Free parking round the back.
Cons: The 'bathroom' was tiny. And the bed was a normal double which is actually small these days! Huge damp mark in the corner near the ceiling.
Location: Wonderful listed building facing the sea. A short walk to some excellent restaurants in the old harbour. Especially the Harbour Bridge and the Oasis.
Our experience was a thoroughly delightful one considering it was a very busy [and hot] Bank Holiday. There are many hotels and b & b's all lined up along the front next to each other and they must be extremely competitive. Dean and Maya were charming hosts and always helpful and aware of our needs. Breakfast was wonderful in the sunny room which overlooks the beach and the sea. We did not have a sea view room but had a wonderful over the roof tops and to the hills beyond. And this meant it was very quiet at night.

Very Kind ProprietorPosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel had the best setting ever, overlooking a huge sandy beach. However, the ensuite left quite a lot to be desired. The shower door didn't always close properly, there was not very much room around the loo and the dividing door, was a thin, see -through louvered door. The proprietor was really lovely and very informative about the resort. Our breakfast was good and plentiful.

Very friendly B&BPosted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
the room I stayed in had been recently refurbished and was very pleasant. I had a great nights sleep. hotel is right on the front overlooking the beech and a nice short stroll into town. Parking is in short supply as will all hotels in this location. the hotel will will issue a parking permit if you can find a space. Failing this, the public car park is very close. Ill use again

DisappointingPosted Aug 7, 2013
The staff at A Maidens Rest were very friendly and accomodating and the rooms was clean. However, the overall condition of the B&B left a lot to be desired as it is old fashioned and in need of repair. My main issue with the room is that i booked a twin room with ensuite as i was staying with a friend and the ensuite had a slat door which meant that you could see through it and could hear everything from the ensuite in the room. Not ideal!

Great stay for anyone !!Posted Jul 27, 2013
Location: Great location
Only stayed for one night, but was made to feel right at home. Great selection when it comes to breakfast. I love a full English breakfast and I wasn't disappointed, was perfect and filling. Was perfectly located, just across the road from a quality sand beach. Last of all, thank you to Dean (owner) for being so helpful.

Lovely hotel fantastic breakfast and nothing too much trouble. Father and brother in law upgraded to room with sea view at no extra cost so they were happy. We will definetly visit again.
