Bournemouth break

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and polite with breakfast service par excellence
Cons: Car parking
Location: Hengistbury head is an amazing place with Mudeford Spit in all its glory on a beautiful sunny day
An excellent weekend at The Connaught, the staff were brilliant and the spa completed a relaxing break. Will be returning next year.

Very pleasantl surprised,

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Very friendly and clean
Cons: Air Con is a must we really needed this.
Location: Located near the beach, the shops and the peir
There were a group of 15 of us all spent a few days a Best western Connaught Bournmouth last week the first week in August. The hotel was pleasant, the staff fantastic and were very accommodating and very helpfuly all the time. The facilities at this hotel were very good, the jazzuci, swimming pool, steam room and sauna were very clean and bright. I would recommend this hotel for a short break or even a longer stay, and it was very near to the beach.

Apauling.no one on reception on arrival

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The breakfast in the morning was excellent
Cons: staff need training in customer service, need training in learning how to smile to customers ,training on how to look after guest.no attentiveness.
Location: good location close to the beech.
we travelled for 3.5 hours to stay in this hotel for a short break, when we arrived at the hotel there was no one on reception after about 10 minutes of us walking around the hotel to try to find a member of staff someone finally appeared, the person did not greet us at all in actual fact she looked completely fed up, we had no welcome to the hotel, all we were told was to pay for the room immediately and the room wasn't ready until 3.oclock.When the room was finally ready no one showed us to our room or even offered to take our cases for us ,there is no customer service in this hotel, we went to our room which we paid £145,00 for a room with a balcony on a Sunday evening only to find the room was (damp) smelt unclean and all the furniture was old and dated if this was not enough disappointment we went on to the balcony only to find that our view was over looking all the rubbish bins. we phoned the reception to explain our disappointment to them only for her to recommend a down grade (ridiculous),we finally were moved to another room which was not adequate at all, the beds were appalling the pillows were like sand bags, the carpets were not cleaned and the bathroom shower did not work.. upon check out the receptionist ask us to pay for the drinks we had at the bar, gave us our change and walked of. This hotel is completely over rated.

Lovely hotel and great staff.

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff and the hotel is clean and nicely decorated.
Cons: Larger rooms and definitely air conditioning units in the rooms and throughout the hotel.
Location: Fantastic for the beach - very close. Nice restaurants nearby.
Lovely hotel and the staff are great too. Very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The only downside to this hotel has no air conditioning. The rooms are equipped with table fans but this is not sufficient. The weekend we stayed it was extremely hot - great for the beach but not so good when you are in your room. The rooms are very small and very hot. There is no air conditioning facility so it can get extremely uncomfortable at night.

Connaught

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort, great breakfast.
Location: The beach is near and it would be good to take a city tour to get to know all the beautifull places around. The triangle is on walking distance too.
Very comfortable hotel, very well located near the beach, the restaurants, a few bars and shopping area. Indoor swimming pool to fresh up after a long day.

Great Hotel

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: The room was well furnished with a sofa and two chairs and a large bed.
Cons: The only minor niggle is parking can be a problem although I personally had no issue finding a space.
Location: The hotel is well positioned as a central base for excursions to Corfe Castle or the new forest etc.
Everything about the hotel was good, staff, food and rooms. The hotel is well placed for a short walk to the beach. In short better than expected.

Lovely hotel perfect for our weekend break

Posted Jun 17, 2014
We stayed for two nights in June 2014 and we were really impressed with the staff, the restaurant and the room quality. It is in a handy position on West Cliff, near to the town centre, beach, various restaurants and cliff-top walks. We would definitely stay here again for a lovely break near the sea and would also recommend this hotel to our friends.

Dieters beware

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Convenient, great food, great staff, great facilities and spa treatments
Cons: Furniture in room
Location: Bournemouth beach, gardens,
Fabulous food with a different special each night. Love the duck! My room was tired but bathroom excellent. Parking is difficult, but double park and leave your keys with reception. They sort it out. Walk to beach and town. Very convenient.
