“Perfect Base”

We stayed here for two nights in February during the school half term. We were visiting our son who is at Bournemouth university. We wanted a hotel which was good value for money and fairly central to all the amenities. The Bonnington provided all this and more. The manager and reception staff were extremely friendly and provided us with lots of useful information regarding places to visit and how to get there. We had a lovely walk along the beach to Sandbanks on the managers recommendation, and ate at a lovely Indian restaurant just across from the hotel called Indian Ocean. The winter gardens and shopping centre are just a short 10 minute walk from the hotel and also very close to the BIC if you have booked to see a show there. The room was fine, not huge but adequate for what we required as we weren't in there much! Unlike The Hotel Inspector, we liked the decorative touches in the room such as the disco ball and framed tea towel! The breakfast was good, and the dining area/ lounge area was light, airy and welcoming. We will definitely be returning soon!
